Why you should hold on to your tsx~ and love it
I saw a similar article about a year ago that someone else posted up here. It may have been this same article.
This is good news for the TSX. So far it seems to be a very reliable machine, and in my opinion has a distinct look. I think the article is right, and I hope they are so our resale value remains high.
Thanks for the link...

I spend so much time on the inside I kinda forget what it looks like haulin' down the road.
Unfortunately this article is talking about the 2009 tsx...
"In creating this year's list we took a look at cars available as new models for 2009 that will have collector appeal in 15 or 20 years,"
But I am definitely not getting rid of my car... I'll ride it to it's last breath!!

+1 on the distinct look. The car may not stand out in any single major way but the whole package to me is awesome. When I see one on the road I still say to myself after 3 + years... Damn. That's what my car looks like in motion. Nice.

Hopefully it still applies to our 1G TSX.
I'm keeping my TSX as long as I can.
Well, if you think about the stated reason for the TSX being #1 on that list, (as a tuner's dream car), you would think the 1G would apply as much or more than the 2G...since it is smaller and lighter. (Most "tuners" prefer older, smaller & lighter Civics over recent Civics for that reason.) Also, the 2004-06 TSX is able to 'tuned' for more horsepower with Hondata reflash.
But, to be honest, I don't see either TSX, 1G or 2G as being high on a tuner's list. The cars most of these guys prefers are generally smaller and lighter than even the 1G. (But hey, what do I know about such preferences...it's been a while since I was bolting headers, wings and airdams onto my cars.)
--Nonetheless, I think it's great to have the TSX get the press and publicity.

Good catch. That does make a difference in how the list is perceived. (Seems like the author could have done away with the numbers.)
Disregard the first few words of my post...and all the rest is the same. (The TSX is on that list because the author considers it a tuner's dream car...which may or may not be the case.)

Regardless, IMO the 1st gen TSX will age very well. Even though the design is six years old it still looks very fresh and I find myself checking out other TSX's out when driving around. It's got a good mix of luxury and sportiness and it still retains that Japanese/JDM flavor. Plus the K series engine is the next big thing in the Honda scene so it'll still be popular for a long time.
The new TSX is too gaudy/bloated and doesn't have a clean and classic look. I think the 1st gen still be good looking a decade from now like the 97+ Prelude's do.
