Why JDM?

I'm curious what drives people to want to replace lights, trim, etc. with JDM? Is it the looks per se, or just the fact that it's JDM, or just to be unique, or are they better, or something else? I'm not denouncing it or anything, just interested in the responses.

Ok I could write a page atleast on why I am doing but I am not going to atleast for now cause I do not have time. So I will make a small list for the time being.

1. I like the style.
2. Think the car looks better.
3. I show it and dont like the all out crazy large amount of fiberglass so this is a way I could show have a good car but not have crazy fiberglass.

Its a mix of everything for me. JDM its unique and different and makes the car look different than every single one out there. I don't care so much that its specifically japanese, except that most mods for our car are Japanese because its a Honda. For rims, the best quality rims are from Japan, you can only get knockoffs or bling bling from the US.

I like to modify my car. But I don't want to use aftermarket so much. So what better way to get a somewhat different look, as long as no one else that lives around me gets the same parts, but still have factory quality. It's still Honda parts with Honda quality and fitment . And of course it's the whole fun of making my car my own. In the end....I do it for me.

I'm not doin it, hopin the next guy noticies. But I do it knowing I have and I installed it. also

There are many reasons to this.
First, sometimes JDM parts performs better whilst still gives you the factory feel to it.
Second, it's unique no one has it.
Etc. Etc.

^^ exactly, JDM gives it a unique look AND the honda quality. this is like askin why do people mod thier cars at all
everyones got different taste, and as long as the person doing it finds it worthy, it is worthy no matter what anyone thinks

Personally, I think 90% of the cars that had JDM and US version, the JDM version was better in looks, performance (one reason is because JDM has more trim levels), and sometimes quality.

Look at the 98-2002 Accords, the Corollas, the Civics, 240SX's, Integra's..... but of course, looks are subjective

The main reason why I am doing my conversion is because I am tired of seeing TSX's out there and don't want to look the same to the car next to me. Don't get me worng the TSX is nice car stock or with the OEM bodykit I just didn't want to be one of those cars. Plus I liked the look of the JDM kit over the USDM kit which looks outta place especially in the front near the foglights, but to each his own in the end I am doing this for my pleasure and no one else's.
