Why are 2 of the 4 floor mats anchored?
I can understand having the driver's mat anchored, but why have an anchor for the rear passenger-side mat (and not for the two remaining mats)? Seems kind of weird...

However, since I'm not that way...
The driver mat is anchored so as to prevent it bunching up and interfering with the pedals...
The passenger rear mat is anchored to prevent it interfering with the weight sensor for the passenger seat SRS system. In the manual, if you wade through the SRS stuff , it advises against pressing the rear seat or a rear seat load against the front passenger seat because of a possible interference with this sensor.
So it ain't weird, it's your TSX... (roll music, cue the sappy video...)

Thanks, this explains why I'm getting a passenger air bag off notification when I have a full load of passengers in the car. I'm using 04 mats in my 06 and there aren't any hooks on the rear passenger mat =)

I figured it was mainly lawyer talk, but may it will kill you! Is it an airbag or a side airbag off light? If it's the side airbag, it's probably the way your passenger is sitting.
