Who's got over 12,000 miles?

How are your brakes, tires, etc?

I've got a little over 13,000 miles now and I'm wondering when I'm going to have to start replacing things. My tires look like they will be good for another 20,000 miles or so but I think I might need new brake pads in the near future. Anyone else have any thoughts on this topic?

I am going to get a brake job done (as well as evening out the rotors) on my next stop at the dealership, as well as an oil change, adjustment of the windshield wiper washer jets, new windshield wipers, and the tires rotated and balanced.

I have a little bumpiness in my brakes, so I think the rotors need to be turned, and the pads probably replaced as I am pretty hard on brakes, especially on a fun to drive car like this one. I have just over 13,000 miles now. This will be my 3rd oil change.

get them to replace your rotors instead of turning them under warranty...once turned, they will warp again

I went last week for my "Type C" maintenance, which included brake inspection, and they told me they were worn at 30%, so they looked pretty good. The rotors don't feel rough either.

I did have to get my tires re-balanced at the beginning of september. They should, however, last me for a total of 60,000 miles, which is not bad for Pilots.

Here is interesting info on "warped rotors":

Yeah, I'll probably just get my rotor's resurfaced and get new pads...and this time break them in like they are supposed to be broken in. I had never heard of breaking in brakes before...thanks for the link sauceman.

Yeah, I hadn't heard of it before neither, and I used to ave sooo many problems with my rotors. I even cracked a set of Powerstops once. But since I read this article, I have never experienced any further problems.
