Do you have to put AA batteries in it before you drive?

i think you'll need two...one for each side of the car...you know, like with the pod racers in star wars.

kinda like that Tornado Fuel Saver thing.....from what I heard that thing doesn't work and I doubt this fake turbo works either.

If I wanted a 10HP increase in my TSX I'd add altezzas, aluminum wing, and NOS stickers.:ghey:

Is that a Simpson's reference, like when Homer got flanders to add them to his car?

guys hear me out before you label me a noob, i already got attacked on a previous post, see lsd,

if i am understanding this description right, then this contraption is a fan to force air into the intake, similar to a supercharger/turbocharger. obviously it won't have anywhere near the output of a turbo/supercharger which routinely will post 50% + gains. but this does have one advantage, it is electrically operated, and as such, may boost low-end power moreso.

here's my logic, this fan is electric, so must hardwire in to the system, if it has a remote switch in the passenger compartment, you can turn in on max, and get forced induction at idle, no other system can do that. now when you step on the gas, and open the throttle body, you have a burst of air for the first 1000 rpms off idle while your turbocharger is spooling up. i'm not saying that you're gonna be geneerating 300 whp off idle, but if it boosts hp and tq off idle, it may improve the dyno curves, and give you more low-end oomph, an area most na 4-bangers lack.

this little contraption may be able to boost hp and torque from 800-3000 rpm higher than a turbocharger can, well maybe only from 800- 2000 rpm. you get my drift.

it looks like its a ram air device for idle. we all know that ram air doen't really start making gains until car speed is ~ 40-50 mph.

now i am no mechanical engineer, never said i was. just a very smart guy, with some physics/engineering background who loves cars more than life itself.

i'll leave it up to the professionals to discredit my ideas, but i am gonna look into this further, before i write it off

any takers on my engine mechanics theory????

anyone????

Bueller????

anyway, i think they just e-mailed me a scan copy of a honda civic dyno, which shows 6% increase in hp. if the gains are mostly in lower rpms, i'm buying this piece of shit. i'll volunteer to be the guinea pig. i'll post the dyno, when i have time. 100 hrs/wk is a bitch man.

How many PSI do you think you could get out of that fan? I'm betting 0.1 to 0.2 pounds at most! Hell, it might even end up being a restrictor at WOT. You just can't build pressure with that fan design. Try reading this article before you make your purchace: http://auto.howstuffworks.com/turbo.htm

Don't you think that most automotive engineers would have gone for a setup like this long before they spent the time and money developing superchargers and turbochargers?

Is that a turbo fan used to increase the blowing power of the stock AC unit? The wind-in-the-hair effect without lowering the windows. Cool.

Thankfully, it's already finished in exciting, loud orange, perfect in looking purposeful amongst my custom engine mods, complete with neon cables and chromed components.

I'll pass, for now

You'd probably do better mounting on the roof than in the engine!
