Where to mount USA Spec PA11H2Y?
My center console and center armrest is out of my car (04 tsx nonnav) right now, sitting on the stone wall...
Does anyone have the adapter mounted elsewhere than behind the center console compartment above the stock amp??
Thanks,
(first post, don't shoot me :x)

I drilled a hole in the back of the console tray and ran the wire to the headunit. My USASPEC adapter sits in the console tray and my ipod lies next to it. Easy access if need be and completely hidden away with the console tray cover closed.

Hey Gavin, which console tray? The one in the dash or the one with the armrest?

after a long afternoon of dropping screws, and breaking tabs, i just stuck the PA11-HON2Y behind the middle/front compartment, and wired the ipod below the shifter and drilled a hole next to the cigarette lighter in the arm rest console. there's more than enough slack to control the ipod while driving if i need to, so it's cool

Thanks, where did you order your USA Spec from?

They even called USASPEC tech support to make sure my 3rd gen 15gb ipod would work. Now that's service
PS drilled a hole in my center compartment thing and have it sitting in there too...just in case I need to eff with the switches

Sorry, I can't remember and can't find the email invoice. I know it wasn't through Crutchfield so either ebay or an online retailer. I think I paid about $130 or so.

Thanks for looking, I'll probably try Crutchfield or Amazon (maybe free shipping?)

Oh one more thing, I understand the two modes, and how they interface with the stereo, but what about podcasts? Do you have to access these through "direct mode" since they're typically not in a playlist?
