45K is not an unusual life expectancy for TSX rear brakes. They seem to be very sensitive to the type of driving that the car experiences. There have been numerous tales here of them wearing out allot sooner (and also the opposite. My wife's 07 has over 100K miles on it and she's still on the original brakes. All highway driving is the key it seems)). That said, if you're at all mechanically inclined, the pads are very easy to replace. And you could have the rotors turned at number of places I'm sure. Or you could replace the rotors. It seems the OE rotors are not that good and you could pick up pretty good replacements for around $50 a piece I think. If you want to use a dealer, feel free though you'll pay top dollar. If you do have it done, and you don't have a mechanic that you use with any regularity, you could use a dealer, or ask for a reference from friends or coworkers perhaps.
