whats up with the "not an ashtray" thing in our cars

the red felt, the big sign...wonder if there is a reason behind it.

maybe because the material can catch fire? you know there are always idiots out there... hence the warning makes it pretty obvious..

It says that because ashtrays are options on cars now and this is where the ashtray would be.

I use it to put my ear-rings in. It reminds me of the inside of a jewelery box.

Since my coin slots are full, I toss in excess change into the "not an ashtray" bin, especially those damn .

It may not apply in the state... but in Canada, not all coins can fit into those slot... I use it for storing coins as well.

I used it for the controller on the PIE X3. fits perfectly. after dremeling out the top it even closes.

I keep a small microfiber eyeglasses cleaner in there to wipe off my fingerprint magnet of a navi screen.

Perhaps when I upgrade my Tein SSs to Flexs, I'll mount my EDFC controller there .
