So about a couple of weeks ago now i got into a minor fender bender with my babie, and now have to get a new front bumper. but i was thinking...i have an 05 CG tsx and started thinking about putting on the 06 front bumper...what do you guys think? think it would look better or worse? oh and by the way, i dont know how many of you live in canada, but i live in calgary alberta where here it can get up to like -40C and im not being sarcastic, and i have an injen CAI and when you drive in weather anything below -15 i swear you have like at least 5horse to the wheels!!!

I'd say go for the Euro R front bumper.

if you want the 06-08 bumper, you will also need to acquire the 06-08 grill, the 06-08 fog light panels, and 06-08 plastic vents.

I like the newer bumpers better. I much prefer the fog light placement on those.

It's ironic and frustrating that cars always get a power bonus when the conditions are least conducive to using it. At -40C, the CAI isn't doing anything for you that the stock intake isn't doing too. Hell, you could suck the air from directly behind the radiator at those temps and not loose any power at all.

Be careful with the chrome strip attached to 05 and older cars. This chrome strip may not match very well with the wider grill in the 06 and up cars.

I've got both and prefer the 05 bumper, but it's really up to you. No offense, but this thread is so 19 years old. Decide which bumper you like better and do it; doesn't really matter what anyone else thinks (especially an old fart like me). And I haven't seen ANY mod bumper that's anywhere close to an upgrage (they all look to me like they came from JC Whitney).

+1 for oem 05 or kenstyle. I really dont like the look of the 06+ bumpers, to me it looks less aggressive. Although this is just me opinon not yours. As long as you are happy, its your car.

But, like CG said, if you do it, you need to buy all the extra trim stuff and the '06 hood too.

If you sell it and it has a different year bumper, people will think it was wrecked.
