What would you buy?

I was just wondering, if all of a sudden cost/reliability/utility is not an issue (i.e. won lottery), what car will current TSX owners buy? Why?

For me, I used to say "I will buy a V8 Ferrari." But I just found my new love -- Lamborghini Gallardo, coz' with the more powerful V10 and 4WD, I bet it's gonna be faster on track.

How about you guys?

If I had infinite cash and could afford to blow a roll on wheels, I'd go for a vintage 'vette, probably a sting ray.

Among new cars, nothing says excess like a Viper.

But either would be meant as a garage filler; a conversation piece. For day-to-day driving, I'd stay with the TSX.

One reason I got it in the first place is its understated nature, so what better way to ride in style without shouting: "Hey, look at me! I got money!"

Don't want to draw the wrong kind of attention, you know?
I want to live to enjoy my lotto winnings...

Next?

If I have infinite cash, I would still get the TSX. I would also keep my Prelude, get a G35 sedan and a S2000. Then I would also get a RX3 and turn it into a full out race car. Hm...I would also need a tow vehicle and a trailer too.

Alright, stop day dreaming. Back to reality...

BMW M3 or M5 as my daily driver, and a Ferrari Modena as my weekend car. Or if I really had alot of money..then maybe an Enzo for the weekends.

I don't flash my wealth. I have other things to do with money than dump it into expensive garage fillers. I'm simply not someone who flaunts. I'm the "understated" guy who relishes at those who pass judgement without myself having to say much.

I would certainly keep my TSX--if I had one (it's been on order since June!). To splurge (if I had a super excess of money and I had my mortgage paid off), I AM tickled by the Mini Cooper, so I would buy one of those to complement my TSX. I already have a pick-up that serves utilitarian purposes. The Mini would be fun for short trips. (I never owned a go-kart as a kid, so the Mini would by my grown-up go-kart.)

Back to your question...if I still had too much money, I might consider buying something vintage that was fully restored for the fun of it.

I'm completely with Brad. I can't think of any other car besides TSX that I'd want for everyday (and if you've been around a long time, you know that I tried pretty hard). And if I was looking for a toy, it would definitely be the Mini.

Unless I could find a way to get a "Smarte" across the sea:

Anyways, since people stopped posting, I guess it's about time.

Reason I started this post, is that any provided car maker, especially luxury car makers, would like to keep their customer as long as possible. Most of the post did not reply with a "I am going to buy a higher end Acura". That will be something Acura's marketing working on. Acura has the brand image and reputation, but they have yet to complete their model lineup to fulfil all customer.

Thing about me saying winning a lotto may be extreme, but think about this. When a current customer becomes rich down the road, he/she stopped buying your product and go to another brand, pay more money to get a (maybe) similar quality product, which poses a higher profit to that other brand. That is a loss to Acura.

The point then, is to let Acura realise, they should have a more completed model range. (Look at how huge the Mercedes lineup, and you'll understand. Their price range from 26K to 100K).

On the side, nobody seems to mention NSX, but Modena, and they're both MR sports car and both handles really well.

Actually, nothing says excess like a Maybach (57 or 62)...

SPUDMTN

BTW--Would I buy one (even after lottery)...no...am I a TSX owner...no...does my opinion matter...maybe All I know is that the Maybach is actually supposed to be quite the performer (considering its heft) even though I think I'd rather spend my time in the back of that thing

It can out-run and out-stop your TSX...all while keeping your bottle of Dom un-disturbed

Why is it so much fun to point these things out to larch?

I noticed in one of the Maybach pics there are 2 full glasses of champagne, filled to the rim..

Is the Maybach that smooth that those Glasses wont fall over?

Hate to see such a expensive car like that get dirty

I'm sure it's smooth...but maybe not that smooth--think 3/4-full-and-no-spill smooth

Besides that...if it did spill, it would just be like getting your house dirty (which I'm sure none of you guys let happen)

Ah yes, the ultimate garage.

I'll say...

everyday - BMW E39 M5, Le Mans Blue.
weekend - Ferrari 575M Maranello, Black.
holidays - Aston Martin Vanquish with custom 6speed manual, Carbon Grey.

and I'd hold a monthly raffle where people attending my parties up in the penthouse would be eligible to win an SSM, 6mt, TSX.

And at those same parties, I'll chopper in an IS300 to the rooftop deck and for $20, people will wack away with a Ping 3-iron.

Ehh...I say for total extravagance let them throw solid 10-pound bars of gold (or let their man-servants do it for them)
