What is VSA?

I did a search and I didnt find any answers.
I didnt get my car yet so I have no idea what VSA is?

Is that something that controls traction control or something?

What is it and what does VSA stand for?

VSA = vehicle stability assist. Yes it is traction control, but it is also more than that. It is also yaw control...which means it can remove power and apply brakes to individual wheels to offset understeer or oversteer. There is a better description on the Acura website.

Ya..if youa re going to be racing or doing some aggressive driving you definately want the VSA off. But under normal driving, especially when its wet, snowing, or icy...the VSA can save your ass.

Just curious, does anyone have any real-life stories of VSA 'saving their ass'? I drive in a pretty messy area in winter, so hope the VSA is as good as it advertises.

When I first brought home my TSX and showed it to my wife, she clenched her teeth, grabbed the hedge trimmers from the garage and said "If that car doesn't have VSA, I'm going to KILL you."

thank god for VSA in the TSX...it not only saved my it saved my life!

You better hope your Fantasy Football Team has VSA too or your is mine

Sorry to get off topic.
I lost it taking a turn very fast on my way to the T.O TSX meet with the VSA switched off. The back end flew out ever so slightly but it was quickly corrected by coming off the throttle. I hav'nt really noticed it cut in so far in my everyday driving.

Lets just say this. On Sunday I went to the Bills Game. I made it from Highway 400 at 7 to the Queenston border in just under 50 minutes. That drive would typically take about an hour and a half. But then again that was all pretty much in a straight line.

Stop being bitter about your poor showing in the pool. Its only one week. Just be happy there's no money on the line or you would'nt be driving a TSX in 17 weeks
