Arrow What Tint % Looks best for NBP TSX

Hey Guys I'm planning on getting FormulaOne Pinnacle Tint on my car. Currently I'm planning on getting 35% all around, But Contemplating getting 35% around doors and 15% on the back. And maybe 15% all around. I'd like to hear your opinions as I've never had tinted windows before. I'm leaning towards the 35% all around or the 35% all around execept the back at 15%.

My Goal is more for a classic look. Opinions please.

Format of the Poll is FL/FR/BL/BR/Back

I definitely love the 20% look, but I really didn't want to go thru the hassle come inspection time or the very slight chance that I would get pulled over for it, so I went with 35% on the 4 doors and 20% in the rear. The rear doesn't look any darker than the 35%, but supposedly it is.

20% sounds tempting but it's not an option for myself as I'm looking at getting the FormulaOne Pinnicle material, which is either 35% or 15%. I'm afraid 15% is a little too dark, especially for night driving. I think my perfect number would be 25%, but it's not an option

I think I'm leaning towards the 35% all around, as I figure the cops won't be too upset, and it won't look too ghetto.

I have 35% on side windows of my black TSX. The back is one shade darker. I guess that is 15% or so? I think it looks twice as good with the tint than without. No tint = rental car.

I'm kinda also wondering what to go with, I also have a nighthawk black pearl TSX. Honestly, I like how some of you have 20% all around, but I generally go with 15% rears.

This is the shop I was going to use (probably next week), and if you scroll through the gallery (page 4) they have a silver TSX with 15% rears and 60% fronts.

Get 35%

On darker cars, lighter tints look much more luxurious.

Well, looks like I'm getting 35% I think, seems the most classic option as I don't want it too dark at night.

What interior do you have? If you have a light interior, than I think 20% would look much better, but if your state limits the tint to 35% and you want to stay legal, then you can do 35% with a dark interior.

My states legal is 70% which is almost no tint, so either way I'll be illlegal. I have NBP/Ebony, havn't had it done yet, waiting for a nice weekend.

I sent you a pm...

I have a ebony interior, basically the exact same TSX as yours however mines a manual. There is no state rule against the rear windows in Cali, but the fronts can't have anything. My appointment is this Wednesday and I need to decide what i want...and fast. I think the 20% is going to do it...although I had 15% before on an old 4Runner I had and at night, as much as it looked good during the day, the fact that it had a long rear and the 15% itself, made it had that you couldn't see out the back...which was difficult especially backing out of a parking lot. I had before the TSX an accord that had a good tint % whatever it was and I could see out the back just fine, but I hated the blueish tint it had. I wonder though with the TSX since it is short and not long like the 4Runner's rear cab, if I went with 15% it wouldn't be so much of a factor as far as night driving? Argh...I can't decide

A LARGE shot of the rear in sun

Others of the Accord.

Thanks for the before and after picture, I'm going to go 35% all around I think, I like the uniformity and it looks very class to me.

[UPDATE]

Okay I went with 20% in the rear, very excellent choice as I love the way it looks and it's not so freakin dark either, perfect balance between some privacy and yet being able to see out the back, especially at night.

kinda hard to see the tint, but here's a side shot too...

Done again at www.tintpros.com located in Roseville, although it cost me $185, they do tinting jobs for the dealerships at the Roseville Auto Mall and did a good job.

So you went with 20% in the rear passenger windows and the rear window? Did you tint the front windows?

Nah, I decided against it for the time being, I really don't feel like being jerked by the police and getting pulled over for something as silly as too dark of a tint. , in my town cops are pulling people over for anything these days.

20% though for all three rear windows.

Where are you from again?

I'm not a big fan of the tint contrast with the side windows, but some people love it. I like to have the windows balanced and having one set of windows darker than the other makes it look really unbalanced. I would at least tint the front windows 35% or whatever the legal limit is in your state.

Either way, great first mod! Now you've started the road to wasting all your money on your car, LOL

btw. got any full side pics. Maybe it looks better if I saw the entire side shot.

In California, you can't have any tint on the front windows, which is where i'm at.

As far as mods, the only things i want to do is add fog lights and the MP3 player.

Mods go to my truck which screams "lift me!, lift me!" that and it wants a bigger pair of shoes (tires that is) , and possibly headers too
