Smile What kind of M3 trunk spoiler you have

Where did you bought it and what brand it is? How much did you pay for it and to have it painted? Does JP usa polyurethane trunk spoiler overprice at 149$? Pictures are most welcome.

thanks

Delsa Motor Sports

$35 for spoiler, $25 express shipping from Taiwan.
It was here in about 2-3 days.

So $60 total.
Carbon Gray Pearl
Perfect paint match, near perfect fit.
It comes painted, so no extra cost there.

Oh, I didn't mention something.
I went to Delsamotorsports' website, and sent them an e-mail with no response.
I wanted to know if the color match was correct and all of that.

Later when on ebaY, I saw this item from Delsamotorsports and that's where I
bought it. So go to ebaY if you want the same one I have.
$60 painted and shipped, express mail. Can't beat it.

You know after seeing these close in pics and I got to see a nhb one in person. I kinda like it. I paid for the OEM but it hasn't been installed yet. Maybe I should re-consider and get the lip spoiler. What's kinda deterring me is that you don't see many TSXs with spoilers of any kind where I live but just about everyone has a lip spoiler and not the kinda airy OEM type.

I have the same spoiler from xenonspecialist. The paint match was kinda close, but I had to get it repainted anyway because the detail shop over-buffed it when I got a detail last year (on their dime, of course). Other than that, a great product.

I am wondering if they can survive our winter and also the no-contact car wash. Since we have to go there often during the winter to remove calcium.

I just got this one last week...not quite M3 style since it has little bit higher profile (which I prefer).

I still need to get it painted / installed...

Hey, been a watcher of the forums for a long time but just joined. Do you guys think it is safe to install one of these lip spoilers and use an automatic car wash? I would think that the 3M tape is strong but I'm not sure.. The place that I live doesn't allow you to wash your car on site so I don't have a whole lot of options.

Thanks,
Nick

You'll be fine, has been discussed before no problems, make sure you give the trunk a good cleaning before installing, some sort of alcohol based cleaner…

…hey make a new thread, properly introduce yourself make sure to attach some pictures

there is a gap but u can barely notice it... at least in my case. And i had a friend help me put it on, it made things a bit easier, since you do have to bend and curve it a bit

nope, that's not a gap you see there.
there's really no gap at all. maybe like 1mm or something.
what you see there is the front face of the spoiler.
it's just the lighting that makes it look like a gap.
I installed it myself in about 5 minutes, it was easy.
you get more than one shot, just don't push down till you're done.

True that. There's LOTS of TSX's and TL's here but you'd be hard pressed to find one with even rims at the least.

C'mon PhiDelt, let's take our Delsa M3 spoilers and set this town on fire!

Yup.

It nice here because I think I'm the only modded TSX in this area at all.
I've only seen 3 other TSX's, the most modding one had was a set of rims.
Or an OEM spoiler on the other. No drops, no mods really. I stick out pretty
good in my area, it's nice.

TLs though, they're everywhere.

Also bought from Delsa and got the CGP and can agree with the rest that the CGP is a perfect match. $35 for the spoiler plus $38 for shipping to Canada.

I love that Spoon spoiler, I was thinking about it too, but it takes too much work and I'm lazy, lol.

I also bought a CGP lip from Delsa...not impressed with the packaging. Lip was bent when I received it. Waiting to see if the bend will smooth out.

got mine from xenon. near-perfect paint match, a little darker, but that may be b/c my cars 3 years old and color faded a bit. not noticable unless you look closely anyway

Really? I thought the packaging was quite well. Maybe missing some bubble wrap though if anything. The bend will smooth out if you hold it in place to how you want to position it. I remember before I installed mine, I went for a car wash and I left it on the back seat. An hour later it molded to the curve in the middle. I held the 2 ends to try and bend it back as I taped the other end in place, and I worked out pretty well IMO.

Thanks for the tip... will try it out this weekend. I plan on claying, PC polishing and zaino this weekend so I will leave it in the car as I do this.

the Delsa one is made out of Polyurethane.. it's highly moldable. A little bend won't do any harm. Good luck!

you can cut a little bit off the ends if you want. you can do what i did and use some touch up paint on the edges. if yer' cheap, you can use a black sharpie and black-out the edges of the tape. otherwise, yes, you will always see the tape and a wee bit of space...
