What do dealers do to new cars when the arrive off the boat?
I have a newbie question. When a car arrives at a dealership off the boat or whatever what exactly needs to be done to the car before it's ready to drive off the lot?
My slow ass dealer is telling me they need a few days (Monday) to do stuff to the car before they can give it to me.. what do they have to do?!? and is this standard procedure?
Thanks for the help

They have to go through a pretty long list of inspections. When you get your car, you'll receive a check list. My dealer told me it was going to take until the next day to pick up my car. i.e. fill the fluids, check brakes, lights.. etc. Long list.

Yeah there's usually a long list of things that get done, as soon as it is unloaded. When I had bought my 99 Civic, I bought it with the plastic still on the seats and body panels. They completed the inspection while I was there, then I brought it back for detailing.
