Let Texan tell you if he does or doesn't. But if you like bands like TrustCompany and such, you should like the Lost Prophets.

Wow, looks like a lot of people on these boards like Paul Oakenfold's Tranceport! Great CD for when you're driving and just want to zone out and not have to listen to distracting things like words and lyrics.

That's a good one as well. I prefer his older stuff (Oslo and Ministry of Sound stuff) vs. the newer stuff (Swordfish OST, etc.). Though there are some nice remixes that he's done.

Gotta tell ya. Songs 3,4,5 & 6 totally rock! The other ones are taking a little time to settle in, but they are getting there. 4 outta 12 is enough for me, but maybe not enough for you.

Try to listen to it online if possible. Itunes doesn't offer it but maybe Amazon.com or similar.

I highly doubt that XM will ever be CD quality. FM Radio sure isn't. XM quality is just as good as FM Radio, if not even better. It would be great if it were CD quality but it's not. Anyone who listens to the radio or XM expecting CD quality is just foolish. There is too much interference for the quality to be there. (or atleast here i NY surrounded by trees and mountains).

Yes, I'm obsessed with Rush And I can play a ton of their stuff on my electric guitar, and it's the most wonderful feeling ever.
Dude, Rush rocks. Saw 'em in concert last summer. Have you seen the Rush in Rio DVD? Pretty good.

If you can play like Alex Lifeson, you must be badass!

Hmmm....since 15 years ago? The question may be more of a "what hasn't he done lately?"

Since 1990, he's released:

Waiting for Cousteau
Images (compliation)
Chronologie
Hong Kong (Live)
JarreMix (remix compilation)
Oxygene 7-13
Odyssey Through 02 (remix compilation)
Metamorphoses
Sessions 2000
Les Granges Brulees
Geometry of Love
AERO

Since 1990, his shows have included:

Paris La Defense
Swatch the World
Legends of the Lost City
Europe in Concert Tour
Concert for Tolerance
UNESCO 50th Anniversary
Oxygene Tour
Oxygene in Moscow
Electric Night
Jarre @ Apple Expo
The Twelve Dreams of the Sun (Cairo, Egypt)
Rendevous in Space (Okinowa, Japan)
Akropolis (Athens, Greece)
AERO (Windmill Park, Denmark)
Beijing in Concert (Beijing, China)

I have personally attended his concerts in Egypt, Greece, Denmark, and China. His concerts are like no others I have seen near or far. They are not just concerts. They are concept events that take the audience to a different place. When this guy does concerts, he doesn't screw around.

When he gigged in Houston, he took over the entire city. The skyline was the stage, and you could watch the concert from 5 miles away. The highways became bleachers. Take a look: http://www.jarreuk.co.uk/houston/houston9.jpg

For the millenium (Y2K) he gigged at the Giza Plateau in Egypt. The stage for his concert were the Great Pyramids. Take a look: http://www.jarreuk.co.uk/12dots/12dreams_37.jpg

He's become my unknowing travel agent. Whereever he plays, I make travel arrangements to visit. I would never have had been to China, Egypt, Denmark, or Greece by now if it weren't for Jarre.

Oh, and essentially nobody in America has ever heard of the man. His music sounds strange to most Americans, no doubt, but I find the music to be very interesting and fulfilling to listen to. And, his style changes on almost every single album he releases. So, you never quite know what you're going to get next!

Thanks Bonzo! I'm just hoping that through 6 degrees of separation, someone who wants to promote this kind of music will get a hold of me and get my stuff published.

Ah-ha! Just as I suspected when I posted the question about "what CDs are in your changer?".......nobody has any Wiggles CDs, or any other Playhouse Disney CDs in their changers. ;o)
Anyone else interested in acoustic guitar/blues music?
This list has a very impressive assortment of music!

Speaking of Frank Sinatra ;o), there's a principal of a middle school in Florida who, when kids act out, makes the kids stay after school for half an hour, listening to Frank Sinatra music. Hysterical!

Well since we are on the topic of CD players (and since im too drunk/lazy to search) does any one else have problems with their cd players while playing burned cd's? Mine reads "disc" everytime I switch cd's and won't play unless I change the track.

I have the exact same problems -- but not 100% of the time. It says "disc" until I change tracks. I'm assuming its because I'm using substandard CD-R media.
