We actually do not have the technology yet to just put the car on "autopilot" and watch it take off. There is an instution (I totally forget which) that is paying someone (anyone) a large sum of money if they could have a car drive by itself from Los Angeles to Las Vegas totally unassisted what so ever. That means, with no one in the car, getting off on on ramps.. setting it and forgetting it. Meaning telling the car to go to Las Vegas and seeing it there in a parking space somewhere.
Wouldn't that be weird to wake up one morning and finding your car in another state because your BMW computer malfunctioned? No one stole your car, you bought a BMW!
