What about this deal?

Put down a deposit on a ABP/EB/Nav/AT on saturday after taking back my deposit from another dealership. (Details here: F you Rallye Acura

Curry Acura in Scarsdale NY gave me the car for $27k. Plus charged me $800 for the Fog Lights, All season mats, mud flaps, trunk tray, and wheel locks. I think that is good considering its only $200 more than my previous deal that only included wheel locks and all seaons. And best of all I should get the car today or tomorrow.

If you want to buy a TSX go there and speak to Luis Pabon and tell him Johnny sent you. He is a great salesman and doesn't bother you what so ever. Offered to have me test drive before we even talked about price or anything else.

What do you think about this deal guys?

I would do the deal without the fogs. The HIDs are so bright, fogs really only add weight and mess up the TSX's nice front end. Everyone here with fogs says they can't even notice them being on. And I think they can only be wired to turn on with the HIDs, which completely kills the point (the HIDs will just reflect back in your face in real fog). Otherwise, great deal IMHO.

I plan on changing out the bulbs to Hoen Xenon match or to the Hoen yellow bulbs.

But is it true that the dealers wire the fogs to turn on with the HIDs? That is the silliest thing I have ever heard. The whole purpose of fog lights is to illuminate the road during, you know, FOG, because regular low-beams just reflect back into your eyes.

Whenever I see people driving around at night with their fogs and low beams on at the same time, it looks even dumber than a wing spoiler on a family sedan.

As for the weight, even 5 lbs equates to about a 0.01s difference in 0-60 time. It all adds up Not to mention the extra energy the alternator has to suck at night to keep to fogs on. So you are paying $500 for more weight, worse power/fuel economy at night, and no better illumination in fog. Sounds like a sucker's deal to me.

Dude the brochure says the fog lights are Xenon. You guys say it’s now. Who is off on this?

Here is the marketing definition of the fog lights. Feel free to pick it apart:

Fog lights:
"Multi-Reflector style fog lights produce a tightly controlled light pattern for excellent coverage ahead and to the sides
Visibility is enhanced under a variety of adverse light conditions
Lens design reduces "bounce back" and glare to help minimize eye strain and enhance visibility "
