Wanting to purchase a new TSX (L.A. CA)

Hello everyone, I am new to this site. I have been reading a lot of the threads, and I really like what I've read and pics that I've seen on the TSX. So like the title states, I am going to purchase a new TSX. Now, I don't know what dealer to go to. I live in the LA area very close to Carson Ca. I was thinking of going to Cerritos Acura, but if anyone that is from Southern CA can guide me to where they purchased their car and got a great deal, that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

By all means go to a dealer to test drive a car. But, do your research first so you know how much you're willing to pay. Better yet, contact multiple dealers (by phone, by e-mail, in person) so you have them competing with each other on price.

I live not more than 4 miles from Cerritos Acura but I wound up purchasing mine from Acura of the Desert near Palm Springs. They beat other's prices by almost $600.

^^ search around. I remember at least 2 or 3 threads where good advice was posted on how to go about getting the best price. My strategy was to e-mail all the SoCal dealers with the exact specs of the car I wanted and the price that I wanted to pay. The price I wanted to pay was determined by researching this site and both KBB and Edmunds. That was the starting point.

Check out the TSX Owner Sign-In Thread and see what folks in the Southland have been paying.

I bought my car from Power Acura of South Bay in Torrance. They gave me the best price quote online... and I didn't even have to do any haggling with them. None of the other dealers I contacted could beat the price they offered me. But yeah, like jlukja said, research first to find the best price.

I bought the '07 with Navi... but they also quoted me the '08 w/out Navi for about 26800 and the '08 with Navi was somewhere around 28k. These prices include the destination charge.

Wow, thank everyone for the help on this. I will start to contact different dealers and see what they can do for me. Hey KTBruin, so you're obviously a UCLA Bruin, right?

I got mine from Keyes in Van Nuys. Ask for Tom or Julius. I live close to Valencia Acura, and they're great people, but I couldn't refuse the offer I got at Keyes.

But like everyone else recommended - shop around...

I also got mine from Power Acura in Torrance. I paid $30,500 OTD for an 08 w/ navi. I called every dealer and socal, no one gave me a better deal. The total price of the car including destination was around $27,870. Ask for the their fleets manager, his name is Jerry.

dtrujillo63, thanks for the info. Yea I've been told to do business with the fleet managers, instead of a salesman or woman. Cool I'll ask for Jerry.

I got mine from Keyes of Van Nuys. I was heading to cerritos acura because they had my #1 color combo, but decided to stop by my local dealership. While I was showing my printouts to the person who came with me, the salesman looked over my shoulder and said they'll use the invoice, not msrp...really easy experience.

South bay acura gave me the lowest quote...so low that I figured they were just trying to get me into their doors...I didn't bother driving down that far lol. Heidi at glendale acura won't negotiate with you if she knows you like the color combo. She would give me snobbish remarks, saying how I like the combo (and implying that I should pay extra since I like it).

That's what I thought too because all the other dealers told me they wouldn't go below invoice price. Some dealers told me they're probably just trying to get me into their doors. But I figured it won't hurt that much, just a bit of a drive. But hey, it was worth it. I came home with a TSX with navi ^_^ I was gonna go non navi coz I couldn't afford the '08 with navi... but I'm glad I got the '07 with navi.

shop and research before you walk in to the dealership. Also look for veterans day sales and specials early Nov. I got a good deal at Acura of Santa Monica, ask for Mike if you ever go there. good luck
