Man, if only the IS350 came with AWD and 6sp manual and a bigger rear seat....

Oh, you can get that for cheaper in a 2007 G35 sedan with AWD....

I think you made a good choice. I'm still debating between the IS250 and the TSX. I'm hoping that the new IS pushes Acura to redesign and rethink their TSX for 08. If they do, I'm more than likely jumping on the TSX because of the bang for the buck factor.

My buddy just bought an IS250 and I really liked it. Here's a list of my pros and cons:

Pros:
.Key FOB and push button start (very, very nice. Wake up, Acura!)
.Great leather seats, very comfortable
.Awesome sound system
.Gauges are really nice
.Cockpit feel
.Very well built with nice lines and tight seams
.RWD
.Six speed AT
.Auto up and down windows

Cons:
.Tight, really tight back seat
.HIDs are a pricey option

A comparably equiped IS costs about 6 grand more than the TSX. If you get the IS with Navi and HIDs it MSRPs for about 36K. The TSX is 30K with Navi. Although, if you can get 5K off the MSRP, It's a real steal. But, I think you'd still end up paying about 3K more than the TSX after you wheel and deal with Acura.

Bear in mind, the chances are that even though you pay more initially, the Lexus will be worth more come resale time - albeit not the full $6K difference of course.

congrats on the car!!

it looks very nice. i love those rims. i wish the tsx had rims like that.

i think the IS is such a stylish car. the interior design is beautiful too. just wish the back had more room, but that really isn't a problem since i usually have two people at most in my car.

but congrats again. it looks very nice. hope you enjoy it.

My IS250 came with HID's. All 2007 IS's come with HID's from the factory. For 2006 the IS only came with HID if you purchased an expensive package, but for 2007 you can get it as a stand alone option.

I'm glad I waited for an 07.

Thanks for all the warm responses. I still love the TSX and look at it everytime I pass one on the highway.

the IS feels more tight and snug or that "cockpit" feeling I think because of the raised centter console. This creates a mere partition between the driver and passenger. This is something I would like in a true sports car, and not a sedan. I thought it made the car feel smaller.

Huh? Are HIDs a standard feature of is it an option? You say all 07s come with HIDs and then say that you can get them as a stand alone option on 07s. I'm confused.

Yes its a bit confusing.

All IS's that are shipped to the US for 2007 come with HID's. At least thats what I have been told.

Its a stand alone option but they all come with it and you have to pay for them.

OIC, it's kind of like the Premium Package (leather seats and wood grain). It's an option but you have to pay for it because they all come with it.

I think it's a sneaky way for Lexus to say that the IS starts at $30K but then you have to add in the $1400 for the premium package and the $800 for the HIDs.

Nice car. Nice price (for the IS). Sounds like you'll be happy and that's the main thing.

The IS is not for me because of family (not sure how long the TSX will last - hopefully it'll be just big enough to last as long as we want: 10+ years) and I don't like the insect-looking, water-strider-esque tail end of the new Toyotas which, to me, ruins an otherwise nice style on the IS. The new style is even worse on the larger Toyotas where they bloat up like Maximas.

I see that you are not from Southern California. Over here there are like 30+ Lexus dealers within a 60 mile radius. So they are willing to deal because of the extremely high competition.

www.carsdirect.com put in your zip code and base your price off that. You can get a better price then them but just use that as a starting point when you start negocating.

I'm jealous as hell.

My 06 TSX w/ Nav was around $31xxx otd. For me, it was the TSX vs IS vs BMW 3 series. The latter to were just too much $$ And the TSX was already really pushing it for me.

The rear door cuts how it goes above the window line really stands out and I dont like it. Also the rear lights from the profile view look bubbly and weird. Other than that great car. gratz

Hmm, tried that carsdirect.com site and it said the target price for a TSX here in DC is the MSRP, but the IS250's target was almost 3K under the MSRP. Weird.

Plus I wanted a RWD car this time since I have owned an Acura Integra gs-r for about 8 years now (still do). Wanted alittle change from a FWD car.
Not to make you sick or anything but my wife and I just bought a 350 sport package for $37,700 OTD.
