VA/MD/DC Area Buying Advice

I was wondering what kind of prices people have been getting in the northern VA/ MD/DC area in the last few months, and what dealers/sales people they dealt with if they got a good deal.

The best offer I've had so far is 500 off MSRP +TTL for a CG/Quartz that should be delivered sometime at the end of October.

I got my red tsx 6 M/T, w/o navi, w/spoiler, mud flaps, wheel locks, and all weather mats for $27,080 ON the road (inc. 5% MD tax) BUT it was the demo with 950 miles, which saved me about $800. (I didn't care; it was sitting there, looked great and was already kinda broken in!).

Karen Radley in woodbridge has three CG Tsx's in. I know one is CG/Ebony/6spd/Navi.

I bought my car from Karen Radley back in April, from Bill Anderson. Since the car was so new I paid MSRP. I'm not sure what kind of deals they're giving now but, you probably could get a few $100 off. Bill was great to work with, he really knew the car and was no-pressure.

We worked with the Internet Sales Manager at Pohanka Acura in Chantilly, and walked away with my 6MT red with full body kit and rear spoiler, Silver Star Rims, MP3 player non-navi for $31K. The asking price was $34K.

It helps that my husband used to sell cars, so what we did was a) give them the MSRP (since this the primary sources of the saleman's commission), b) do research on the wholesale prices for all of the additional options and offer to pay a little more than these w/s prices, and c) give them a fraction of what they were asking for, labor wise.

Criswell in Annapolis is selling the auto w/ nav for $28,990.

Tischer in Laurel (Maryland, in case you didn't know where Annapolis was quoted me at $27,900. That's excluding tax, tags, and destination.

I went to Criswell and they were very nice and let me know there were No Red 5A TSX's in like 11 states with or without NAVI and they wouldn't even waste my time by taking a deposit.

There is no way I'm going to spend this much money and not get the color I want.

I'll be waiting. So, if you see a Red 5A TSX, don't buy it and give me a call!

There is a Red 6sp non-navi with full body kit and spoiler at Radley Acura in Falls Church, VA. If you are interested you should go and ask for Lincoln Tucker. He sold me my Black TSX 6sp back in April and he's awesome to deal with.

Thanks for the heads up, but I've got to have an automatic. I keep cars for 10+ years and the traffic around the MD/VA/DC area is unbearable right now with a Manual. In 10 years, I'd go crazy with stop and go traffic here.

I'm keeping my Miata, so if I wake up and need some speed, I'll be fine.

Full body kit doesn't work for me either since I've got nearly a 6 inch curb to deal with in my driveway. You should see the scrapes on my MX-3.

Still?

That's the car I test drove that made me fall in loooooove (see sig for an idea of how long ago). It has the gunmetal wheels and almost every other option, right? I guess they're keeping it as a permanent demo. Probably a good idea.

BTW, I recommend Radley very highly. Great service there, too.

Just paid $1200 off MSRP and no processing fee at Pohanka for 6 speed w/navi. Had to push them pretty hard in negotiation to get there. Good deal on trade in as well. None of the other dealers in this area even offered to compete, even acted as if I was lying when I told them the offer.

That's funny. I drove that car, as well as the silver demo, before I bought my TSX at Criswell.

I was really happy with the sales and service at Criswell in Annapolis and would recommend them to anyone.

Yeah, Criswell was friendly and honest that they couldn't get the car I wanted.

Their dork sales manager did call me on my cell while I was on vacation and let me know that he had a RED car for me.

I was like OK!? He then proceded to tell me it was an AUDI A4. I guess the two hours at the dealership and test driving the TSX and asking FOR A FREAKIN TSX with my checkbook open wasn't clue enough.

I don't need everyone in the world to be rocket scientists, but for Christ sake, do your own FREAKIN job properly and save the rest of us the headache. Criswell lost my business forever.

I just bought mine from Tischer in Laurel, MD. I especially enjoyed working with the Internet Sales Mgr. He took the time to talk to me via email without using short (copy 'n paste) responses. Overall I thought Tischer treated me fairly.

Did they actually have any in stock? Last saturday, they only had one, non-navi, in. And all but one of the incoming were spoken for.

Well, I guess that's the catch. I had to wait about a month but figured that was expected if I was picky about color. So the answer is no, they had none in stock when I went to buy.

If out the door means with tax + tags (which I assume it always does) than I think you did pretty darn good. Seems like about ~1400 below MSRP.
