I'm new to this forum. I'm thinking of selling my '01 Ford Escape XLT for a used '05 TSX. Can anybody provide me with reasonable pricing for such a vehicle with, say, 20,000 km on it? How much do dealers inflate the prices of these used cars? Thought about a new '06 TSX but I'm thinking I may be able to save on a 1-year old. Thanks.

 

autotrader's canadian site would be a good start. You're looking at somewhere between $30-33K, I would think.

 

I looked the other day. Used TSX's are crazy expensive, you might as well buy new.

There's a 2005 Ghraphite Pearl with navi with about 30,000km and auto for $36K, that's almost the same price I paid for brand new. (sans taxes of course)

 

yup, the dealers certainly sell them for a high price, but they offer very little at the trade-in table. I was looking at trading the other day. The dealer offered me about $19,000 for my 2004 TSX 62,000 km. Ouch! Needless to say, I'm not making that deal.

 

I still think you can talk them down to around $30K or so.

 

Thanks. I may check out what APA has to offer. They have both a new & used car buying service where participating dealers offer a no-haggle price. I'll check what the differences there are between a new '06 and a used '05.

 

i had a dealer try and sell me a demo '05 for the price of an '06. i went with the '06.
