Mine worked in a lot of Ontario, but parts were missing (North end of the Bruce Peninsula).
I don't think the DVD has listings for places (restaurants, etc.), but it does have most of the roads.
I can't say for sure about Toronto though, because I didn't go that far East.

Yes it most certainly does. I drove up to that area from Ohio in Fall 2005 for 3 Pearl Jam concerts that were in Kitchner, London and Hamilton Ontario and I also went to that mall in downtown Toronto and the NAV worked great. I think I was using version 3.40 (Orange) at the time in my 2004 TSX.

Oh yes! When I drove from Ohio to Ontario last year, it saved my life! The navi worked great and helped me tremendously with all the crazy diversions on the freeways!
There were some smaller side streets that did not show up but all the major roads were there.
Now, I had the navi with the 2004 model year DVD. I wonder if the later ones would have even more Canadian streets?

The gray DVD (can) has no problem with places like Boston, NY.
The white DVD (US) works great in Toronto, Montreal but not much more up north of those major centers.

Manual says US disks have Canada mapped approximately 100 miles on the CAN border side. You can check to see if the area you're going to is captured by scrolling. Scroll far enough from the US border, the roads stop and the world ends in a sea of white screen.
I have friends that live in Vancouver and Toronto and their addresses are in there.
I'm not 100% sure but I think if you put a CAN DVD in the drive it will accept it. If you're traveling far enough north, maybe you can find a CAN DVD to borrow?
