Upcoming Mods

I had bought my stock 04 NBP with 35% tints all around (except for the front windshield) this past spring break while home from college. Once I drive back down I have some big plans for my TSX. I decided to throw out my list for any advice/additions/criticism. I am a bit new to modding but have done a considerable amount of research. Granted this will be a project and most of the items on the following list wont find their way to my car for some time. However, this coming summer, when I am back home in Miami, will be a jumping off point for my modding addiction to begin.

1) Tein SS Coilovers (Camber Kit? Probably not if a Front Toe thorough Alignment does the trick)
2) Progress Rear Sway Bar
3) Toyo Proxes 4 235/40/18
4) Wheels 18”: I am looking at several, can’t decide (ASA AR2, ASA AR9 w/o inserts, Enkei NT03-M, Motegi Racing SP10, Kosei K-1 TS)
5) M3 Spoiler
6) LED Lights (Trunk, License Plate, Doors, Map Lights, Back Seat and Vanity Mirros)
7) JDM OEM Fog Lights
8) 02-04 JDM Headlamps w/ Demon Eyes from AAC
9) Acura Racing Pedals
10) Polished Injen CAI
11) Black Calipers with Painted Acura Decals (Paint silver, add decals, paint black, remove decals—Anyone know where I can find some Acura Caliper Decals?)

That just about wraps up my plans, but more to come as the ideas roll in. I am going for a Sporty yet Classic look. I want it to stand out but not look ricey by any means.

They all look good to me.

I happen to have some extra decals for calipers on hand.
pm me for info.

For #4, rims, if you're going to get a rim with a lip, get 19".
Or even if the spokes dip in before the lip, probably 19".
If you go with a full face wheel, go for the 18".
I'll have to look up the ones you listed there...

I'll take the liberty and post pics of the rims you listed:

ASA AR2

ASA AR9 w/o inserts

Enkei NT03-M

Motegi Racing SP10

Kosei K-1 TS

So what I'm saying is that if it was me, I'd get 19's in all of these except for
the Motegi Racing ones. They're the only full faced rim you have listed here.
And the Motegi are my favorite of that bunch.

...

But anyway, good list... so far.

Thanks for posting the pics. I was leaning more towards the Motegi as well. What other wheels have a similar look to the Motegi?

Also, PM sent.

^ Among the one you listed the Mugen NR looks the nicest but are they worth the $$?

"Worth the $" is a subjective question. Mugen NR mirror faces are gorgeous wheels and, if you have the money to play with, are as worth it as any other aftermarket wheels.

That said, Advan Kreuzer X/Xi are the nicest on this page, but I'm a little biased.

I have always loved the Mugens but are a bit out of my price range for the time being... Maybe my next TSX

Thanks for the advice. The Motegi are the nicest in my price range. I will probably be going with them.

you should revise that list and make hondata reflash your #1, just b/c you have the option to do so.

also, if you're going to get wheels and lower your car, you may want to look into some sort of body kit to finish the look.

I just looked into the Hondata Reflash... Unfortunately there are no reflash dealers in Miami or Charlotte. Where can I get this done?

I will look into some body kits. How much does painting the body kit usually run for?

See here for information:
http://www.hondata.com/kproducts.html

Shipping to Hondata, work, then shipping back will run about a week or two.
So you'll be without your ECU for that time period.

Are you looking for a local place to give you a loaner ECU while yours is away
at Hondata?

There's a few places in Florida you could consider...
http://www.hondata.com/dealers.html

Maybe just search the site and see what everyone else did with their reflash...

Actually, the switchout can take place in 3 days (one day ship, one day reflash, one day ship back), many members have done it. This thread https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21119, although long, will answer all your questions.

You sir know much better than I.

I'll stay out of this '04 talk.
Hondata hasn't caught up to me yet....

I'll be waiting for them though.

Ah ok, when I had read info on the website I had gotten the impression that I needed to bring the entire car in to one of the Hondata dealers to have it reflashed. I had checked the FL places on that list earlier and the closest FL dealer is almost 2 hours away.

Thanks jlukja and MMsTSX
