Unplugged Electrical Connector

I noticed an electrical connector under my fuse box in the engine bay that was not plugged into anything. It has two pins and I can't tell the wire colors. One looks blue, but there isn't much wire exposed.

I looked in the shop manual and think it is optional connector B, but I am just want to make sure that it's supposed to be unplugged. Also does anyone know what this is for?

I attached two pics to show what I'm talking about. I took the pictures from the passenger side of the car leaning over the engine.

I have the same unplugged connector on my 2005 with manual transmission. It also has the blue wire and I can't tell the other wire color - the connector is covered in what appears to be a silicone grease (to seal it up?). I don't know the function of this wiring.
This seems to be normally unplugged.

That is comforting and thanks for the reply.

I wanted to make sure something wasn't left unplugged.
