This has happened to me two times:

I started the engine, and shifted to reverse. I release the clutch, but nothing happens (it doesn't engage). Then I tried to move the shifter out of reverse to neutral, but the shifter is stuck.

Both times it happened on a cold start. After shutting off the engine and playing with the clutch and shifter a little, I'm finally able to get it out of this situation. This has me worried that I might have a tranmission problem.

Anyone else experience this?

 

It's a cable shifter, so I would start with a cable adjustment to see if that doesn't fix things.

(I don't know about the TSX, but in a VW the cable-shifter adjustment takes all of 5 minutes so the dealer shouldn't hassle you much about it)
