I saw some info from another post about resetting your stock key remote but what happens if I use a carstarter remote?

I recently purchased my 06 TSX with this remote installed (http://www.compustar.com/products/pr...2W9000-SS.html) and after reading my manual I wanted to set some custom settings for driver 1. When I try to do this it doesn't let me. I could use the old remote but then there would be no point because I would just wanna go back to my car starter remote.

Does anyone here have experience with this issue? Anyone using a 3rd party remote?
