UK: Honda adds Accord Sport GT to range
Honda adds more variants to their range, but of course not the U.S. TSX. Honda doesn't even add the lip spoiler as an option here, let alone all the other goodies.

Man, I really want that turbo-diesel here, to get around 42.8 mpg in the U.S.

This website gives an even better break down of all the goodies the car has.

Diesels have a much narrower powerband (e.g. lower redline, typically 4500 RPM or so) and torque rolls off steeply in the last 3rd of the usable range, and as a result the gearing is always much taller.
Don't get me wrong, this would be very a driveable car, but it's not going to be exceedingly peppy.

The characteristics of this engine go directly against what Honda engines are known for.
I don't think this car would be as fun as the N/A 4 cylinder in a manual.

Too bad that won't be offered here in the USA. I only got 30-31 mpg with stop and go traffic on the expressway the last 3 days. But, only got 25 mpg with bumper to bumper traffic in the TSX back on Sunday. I would love 42 mpg or more on the highway.

You will be getting the diesel Accord (either as a Honda or an Acura model) when the next makeover occurs - in 2009, more than likely.
The engine will be an even more environmentally friendly version, to meet California's level requirements.

Gasoline is the perfect fuel for cars. No others need apply. But hey, I'm mired in dinosaur thinking, and therefore, I wholeheartedly and sincerely encourage all of you to switch to something else.

What a feckin' site! Keep on changing the damn link. Wonder if that's to prevent hotlinking or bandwidth usage to a minimum?
