Ugly tsx color....2007 TLS beast...
Nothing personal to the owners of these cars but.....
I was having my flaking grill work piece replaced at the dealer when I wandered over to look at left over 2006 tsx's (and to drool over the new 2007 TLS, that puppy has the RL 3.5 liter 280+hp engine and looked like an absolute screamer) when I saw my first red tsx......I am sorry but it was Butt fuggin UHG---LY.
Some colors on cars were never meant to be....this was a classic example in my eyes...
Lifted the hood of the new turbo RSX and tried to figure if the combo would fit easily under the hood of the tsx....240 + HP would be sweet with AWD..

I think it's each to its own. I believe the Milano Red TSX is very elegant and pretty IMO. Everyone has their own taste, and honestly, at your age, I wouldn't drive a bright red car myself.
Just kidding. I'll drive a bright blue car when I'm older haha you guys will see.
But yeah, each to its own.

age got nothin' to do with this one...
How many of that "elegant color" have you seen on the road???
I drive an awful lot and spot tsx's never saw this color.....I suspect it would take someone with " refined special tastes" to appreciate the "elegance " of that "eyesore".......
Then again, when I was 24, when I knew everything, I drove a Hemi Orange 340 Duster....
I appreciate my freshly waxed blue 2006 even more.....

Yeahhh I know age got nothin to do with it Which is why I said just kidding lol. I actually see quite a few Milano Red TSX's in my area, including Mr. West's 06 MR TSX. Of course not as much as CGP TSX's because I see them EVERYWHERE, even when I walk outside to my car But yeah, it's a nice color to me.

off topic but I got to drive the new TL type S and that thing is just an absolute monster of a car...so smooth, instant power on hand...thats the only thing I hate about my car...the fact that its slower than what Im used to

I noticed there is quite a few people on this thread who like the royal blue but it is not a color I would choose. I bet those owners feel the same way about my PWP. :gheyfight:
PS - I think evo_to_tsx's red milano car looks great.

sorry.... meant rdx
Color is a personal choice..... that day it just struck me as particullary hideous.....as I am getting slightly more mature, (older) my tastes run pretty black and white.
Either things are good , or they suck, less politically correct middle of the road waffling.
off- topic
I picked up a bunch of Hot Rod magazines from 1956-1958 (even before my car driving time) in a garage sale....really great reads.
Big article on the 1956 Corvette and its easily tweaked 265 cubic inch V-8 (became 283 than 327).
It apparently had only 8-1 compression, guys were milling the heads .020 to get them up to 9-1 and adding 2 four barrels and Isky cams.
Those days and the sixties were the days you can actually drastically affect performance and get dirty. Now you have chips......in a couple generations we will have flying cars powered by water.

I happen to think that Milano Red on the TSX is pretty hot, esp. from the rear - it really reminds me of Italian sports cars!!! I went with NHB in the end because it's more elegant and more low-key.

I agree that Milano Red doesn't look good on the TSX. It's too flashy/sporty of a color for a stock TSX. Don't get me wrong, the color itself is nice. I used to drive a red saab before the turbo killed my engine lol.

Ugly? I thought Baby Boomers only drove retro Mustangs and PT Cruisers, just kidding!
FYI, the TSX was premiered at the 2003 Detroit Auto Show in Milano Red.

LOL.... out of curiosity actually test drove a retro mustang.....I had a 67 (with factory sprint package) that was a good fast ride..........the new ones are crap....engine parts built in Mexico, transmission parts built in France.....you do the math.
Have not had a US vehicle since 1991....been all comfy fast reliable Jap stuff.
Buicks , Caddies, Lincolns are for old farts....I got lots of good years left...full head of hair, good plumbing, and an improving golf swing...and an escort plugged in to my TSX for the heavy foot. Life is good...

I happen to like the red better than any of color. Sorry, my eyesight is still good.

I'm with you oldguy. I think the red is just a horrible color on the TSX, it just doesn't fit. It's so interesting how different tastes are. Someone here described it as "elegant". When I saw it I thought cheap, like ford escort cheap. It needs to be darker, like the TL red. Bright red just looks wrong on a 4 door sedan.

Thanx mayor....the elegant and gorgeous comments came from the 17-20 year old group....
.at that age I was driving a "beater" 1960 Rambler Station Wagon P.O.S. it was so rusted, my dad loaned me the $150.00 to have a mechanic re-inforce the wagon portion that was breaking away from the frame due to rust rot...
That dark red (maroon?) would look pretty good on the TSX.....the bright red to me is garrish and would look good on Ford Escort Chevy GEO junk boxes...not a refined car as the TSX

Well, I'm 35 years old, and love the red still.
Darn, why can't I post pictures (I have some nice red ones) It says I cannot post. Do you have to reach a certain number of posts before posting?
Yes, yes, I think my black and parchment TSX looks more "refined" in terms of color, but had I had a choice, I would have gone with my heart and purchased the red one. I gotta not care what others think because I'm the one who's opinion matters the most for my car.

Funny how tastes differ. Not only personal taste but also the difference in taste between continents or countries... Red is not what I would choose either and my dealer even told me that he would give less on the trade in. On this board I see a lot of white TSX's, so it seems like a very popular choice in the US. In europe the white is not even an option ! White cars are not done here, unless it concerns a company car which then gets the advertisements on it... (I personally think white is pretty nice, but the general opinion seems to be different here). Only the type-R's are available championship white here...
But that's the nice thing about it.. Tastes differ... I bet a lot of people can be found that totally dislike my Dark Mocca EuroAccord
