TTL - What Exactly does this stand for?

HI...I am thinking of buying a new TSX - non-Navi. I drive a TSX now (2005). That said, I have a quick question on the "TTL" acronym.

Is TTL - Tax, Title, and Liscense ...or is it Tags, Title Liscense?? Also, what does the liscensing do...?

As far as I know...one pays a Tag fee ($20) and a title fee ($19) when buying a car. Now, what is this L (Liscense) stuff??

I understand dealers throw their BS $400.00 documentation fee in, but I will never pay it... Are folks calling this documentation fee the "L" which I think stands for liscensing...

You Help is sincerely appreciated.

Thanks!

TTL=tax, title, license. Licensing is the same as tags.

I drove a CGP 05 5AT loaner for about 4 days while the dealership was putting on the OEM body kit with spoiler on my CGP 06 5AT. You can feel the difference in the power, luxury, and features of the 06 compared to the 05. An 06 is not for everyone, but it felt right for me.

- the low profile 06 wiper blades are almost invisible
- you can feel the 06 extra torque kicking in at 2500 rpms
- 06 VTEC kicks in harder above 6000 rpms
- Found the HID look brighter in the 06
- The side bolsters on the seats is wider which made the 06 feel more comfortable for me (I’m a wide body)
- New 06 MID improved an already top notch display
- The paint of the 06 CGP looked almost dark metallic blue in a certain light while the 05 CGP looked more skewed toward black in the same light. My neighbor notice this difference when he asked me “I thought your car was dark blue” when I had the 05 loaner parked outside.
- The 06 thicker steering wheel with the extra grips a 10 and 2 o’clock feels so much better in my hands compared to the thinner 05.
- I like the look and feel of the 06 5AT shift knob
- Never really liked the chrome trim on the front hood for the grille on the 04/05
- Took a while to adjust the seats to a comfortable position after the second driver in the 05 with out the memory seats
- And the usual; updated and faster Navi, Bluetooth, HFL, expanded voice recognition, updated MID, maint reminder, fog lights, and subtle exterior styling updates.

You said it Mr Gold! All the points you mentioned shows EXACTLY why I want to upgrade to an 2006. Actually, I really want to get a certified preowned to get the 100K warranty.

I found a BLK/BLK with only 6K miles....may pick it up tomorrow. I have a CGP (2005) now...so I figured I would black it out now.

We'll see....who knows I may even change my mind and keep my car....

Thanks,
ChimChim

See Mr Gold's response for my answer...... Also, its not about money...its about features.... if I get the 2006, I plan to keep it for 10+ years.... I typically run my cars into the ground. I had an old civic for 9 years and I only traded it in b/c I no longer felt safe in that little car in ATLANTA. People drive 85+ here....TOO many accidents and fatalities!! Its crazy....

but...where does it end ? cars, any model, are always gettign "better" and getting more.
Just a year and couple months from now the 2008 TSX can go beyond what we can dream up here.

10+ years, sure about that ? you don't want sh-awd ? turbo ? lol
