i was wondering if anyone else noticed this. If i'm driving on a quiet road and giving the slightest gas, i can hear the fuel injectors, however when i let off the gas, i can't hear anything. anyone else notice this?

I doubt you're hearing the fuel injectors...maybe an exhaust leak?

Do you have automatic or manual transmission? It has been reported that automatic has a whine when it is quiet and you listen to it and you are giving gas. It may sound like fuel injectors. You dont hear it when you are off the gas.


Also, even if you are off the gas, the fuel injectors are still working right? So you should be able to hear them also. so it may be sound coming from somewhere else.

the car is an automatic. the whine is there, its natural. The ticking sound is not there when foot is off the gas pedal. Fuel injectors are shut off when foot is off the pedal and the car is rolling, so it has to be. The moment i add gas, i hear a slight ticking. I know fuel injectors are noisy, but this noisy?

the picture was taken way up in California mountains. Close to Oregon/California boarder. The road is I-5 and that mountain is Mt.Shasta. Picture was taken in August, i'm surprised there was snow at that time.
