I love my 9-3 Vector (it's a blast to drive). I made the right decision in choosing it over the TSX.

Enjoy reading through the above threads.

Motor Trend had a TSX vs. Saab 9-3 vs. Mercedes-Benz C230 comparison. I think they ended up ranking them C230 > TSX > Saab 9-3. Thread about it on another BBS (dunno if the link will get censored).

Now that Saab has cut the price of the 9-3 to something reasonable, it's a worthwhile comparison. Ignore the Motor Trend article. That is such a hit-or-miss magazine, and that one was a miss.
I drove the Linear last December and thought it was a nice car. Compared to my TSX, I thought it was underpowered, with a smaller back seat, non-sports suspension and wheels, too many little buttons on the dashboard, but overall a nice car. I haven't driven a Vector, but it definitely has the sports suspension and wheels. Saab's problem is, the TSX is too good.

from page 97 in this month's issue of automobile:
>"1110 miles "It's not quite as refined as an A4 or as joyful as a TSX, but I'd surely have one over a Maxima or an X-type," says online editor Matt Phenix. "The old 9-3's general suckiness can't be overstated, and considering that GM knows how to make a bad car worse, I'd say the new 9-3's overall good impression seems particulary praiseworth."

>3892 miles "says turbo is nice"

>8331 miles "says there are too many buttons inside"

>14,638 miles "says sabb has lot's its tradmark looks with this sedan and also says turbo is nice"

as for my thoughts, i just couldn't stand the interior controls of the car. The exterior of the car looks extremely nice though.
