The Honda Accord is a family sedan. The TSX is also a family sedan, it's the Honda Accord that the rest of the world, the parts of the world without an addiction to Whoppers and Super-Sized french fries get. The rest of the world also gets a station wagon version of our beloved Honda/TSX.
The VSA, as has been pointed out, is stability control, it's usually bundled along with something called "traction control" which helps with acceleration in the snow.
Without beating the dead horse (again) I prefer smaller, more stiffly sprung, manuverable cars with manual transmissions, so I bought a TSX. If I didn't, and if I needed more rear seat legroom I would have bought the V6 Accord. Comparing my TSX with my nephew's new EX-L V6 Accord side-by-side, the level of appointments isn't much different. The TSX handles better, the EX-L V6 is faster in a straight line. The TSX also has a few more goodies, including the VSA, Xenon headlights, 17" wheels and a strut tower brace. And 2 fewer cylinders.

If you are looking for a low maintenance, inexpensive, comfortable family car go with the Accord, if you like corruptive power, get the V6. If you haul lots of kids and stuff all the time, the V6 and larger size will prob do you better justice than the I4 in the TSX.
If you are looking for something fun to get you from point A to point B with a big smirk on your face then go for the TSX w/ 6spd. The TSX will serve as a family hauler but it will be less comfortable for most families since it is smaller and more stiffly tuned for sporty driving, though you can get a factory rear-seat DVD system not available on the Accord.
VSA keeps you from spinning out while driving by correcting understeer and oversteer (within reason of course). Traction control helps maintain traction only on the front drive wheels and when accelerating from a stop on slippery surfaces, it does not compenstate for oversteer and understeer.
VSA is not available on the Accord, but Traction Control is on the V6 models.
Drive them back to back as previously stated. If your budget permits, drive the TL as well.
Yes this has been beat to death. But what teh heck, i'm bored so I'll just type. :P

i'd get the Tsx because the exterior styling is much nicer and aerodynamic than the Accord sedan, but if i wanted to get an Accord I would get the V6 6sp Manual coupe. Do you know if the Accord Autos have sequential sportshift in them? I haven't been inside the new Accords yet from 03-present.

Burning Brakes
As much as I love my TSX, the Accord V6 Coupe is growing on me. I was next to one the other night and I must admit it looked sweet. I think it lacks the sophistication of the TSX, but not a bad looking car in the coupe configuration. As far as the sedan goes, well that's another story. I almost bought an Accord V6, 6-Speed, Leather out of frustration while waiting for my TSX. In hindsight, I don't think I'd have been disapointed with the Accord, I'm just glad I waited for the TSX. I'm lucky to see a TSX once a month. I see Accords daily.

Drifting
I find both the Accord EX V6 and TSX very attractive, but in different ways. The Accord is really a super value car, but the TSX is much sportier and exclusive. Despite the more powerful engine in the Accord V6, once I test drove the TSX, I knew that the Accord was no comparison in terms of handling and fun to drive factor. Also, the TSX is way more handsome :-)
So, just like the other posters already pointed out - if you want a family car, go with the Accord. If you want individuality and good handling, then go with the TSX. Both are great cars.

It wasn't really engine power that sold me on the TSX. The TSX has better styling than the Accord hands down and it probably handles better too. After all, its a Euro Accord!:P

Then I made a terrible mistake. I took a TSX out for a spin on a dare from a friend. I lost the battle in 10 minutes. No comparison on the handling. The TSX was incredibly easy to handle, precise, almost spooky. It was also quieter at highway speeds (probably due to the lower drag coefficient). The 6 speed manual in the TSX was the sweetest thing I've ever shifted. So precise that I never missed a shift or bogged the engine. Well, +5000 dollars later I've got a TSX. The VSA is very good at stopping you from spinning out on corners, Traction control doesn't do diddly for you there. The TSX is smaller, so if you are on the large side, or haul big friends often, the Accord or the TL would be a better choice. Bottom line, the TSX is a driving machine, made for curves and maneuvering. The Accord is made to cruise in comfort. Both get you from point A to point B, just depends on the style you like. (Boy, I talk too much!)
