Yeesh...not another one of these...

Dude, start with a search, please. This one has been hashed and rehashed so many times, it's insane. I think just about everything that could be mentioned has been mentioned.

Welcome to the forum

But please use the search button.

I would definately get the G35 coupe over the TSX, no brainer there.

If you want power, engine sound, and torque get the G35, if not, go TSX.

why do people even compare the TSX with the G35? i think a more reasonable comparison is the G35 and the TL.

An equally equiped G35 would be more like $5000 more than a TSX. The 'base' G35 is not that nicely equiped with amenities. BTW, I played a little cat-n-mouse with one ona nice curvy stretch of road - on the straights he kept up but once going through the '"S's" I pulled away. For 2 less cylinders & 1 less litre the TSx performed very well.

No brainer? No way. I don't know that I'd take a G35 AT THE SAME PRICE, let alone the extra $5K they want to have it equipped at all. Facts: G35 has much more power and RWD. That's it. It's not sophisticated at all, has a shitty interior, not as much room, doesn't have the extra doors, probably not as reliable, and doesn't come as well equipped.

Nickle and dime you on the G35 for standard TSX items.

I also like the always displayed nav screen on the TSX versus the pop-up on the G35.

Geez, just buy the G35 so you don't come back a month later to complain about the power the TSX lacks in comparison with the G35.

JK, do what you want. I doubt any of the responses will actually affect your decision.

The key dimension here is driver skill not the car. If you were driving the G35 then you would pull away from yourself.

A while ago i watched a 650cc enduro bike with nobby tires ride rings around an R1 on the street circuit at Willows does this mean the enduro bike is good - no it means the R1 has a poseur on board and the other rider knows what he is doing.

Any kind of street comparo is so far from a controlled experiment

Now that my folks is the most idiotic comment i've ever heard, the G35 slow? Then, what do you call our TSX? I would call it slower. You're only right on not getting tickets part, cause you'll be tempted to drive so fast in the G35 coupe or sedan.

I just test drove a G35 today and I must say it is faster, which its engine is a testament to. However, the price is a good bit higher, and the interior, in the coupe, is not as nice as TSX (much better than 350z tho) just because it's leaning more towards sports car whereas TSX still is a sedan in the end.
No way. I don't know that I'd take a G35 AT THE SAME PRICE, let alone the extra $5K they want to have it equipped at all
I'd probably disagree there, but you can attribute that to a difference in personal opinion. But in the end, G35 is pretty beasty fast, if you're gonna call the TSX quick. Louder though, yet again the sportiness.

How did we end up comparing a sport coupe vs. an entry level sedan?

By the time the '05 G35 sedan comes out in a few months the issue about the interior should be moot. The only issue then will be if the $3-5K extra for the increased power is worth it.
