TSX vs Accord LX V6
Trying to decide between Accord LX-V6 and TSX - Auto. Really don't care about leather or sunroof. Honda is bigger with more HP. Also $5K less. This is for family use, I'm not a hot rodder. Any thoughts?

Go with the Accord LX.
You don't seem to want to go with the TSX anyway, so why bother with something you'll regret having paid a premium for things you really don't need or care for?

Accord. BUT......
Wait for the 06, the rear end looks better and it should have more standard features + 250HP.
BTW - It sounds like someone forced you to come here and ask our opinion

that's the dilemma i had when i bought my tsx
1) everyone has an accord.... tsx
2) V6 240 is good, but 200 hp is good and use less gas
3) accord has bigger HP, but way skinnier wheel?
4) Service dept, honda is honda, good service, acura dealer, they pretend u have a name and treat u better
5) tsx made in japan.. accord usa or canada.

Sounds like the Accord fits your needs...plus you save $5k. Although you don't get to experience the fun factor that the TSX offers. Forget leather and sunroof and you still have a kick ass suspension, great gas milage and more airbags to protect your family. Besides in the used car market the TSX is less common than the Accord. Either way they are both Hondas and you can't really go wrong.

I have a 2003 Accord V6 for another 2 months until my lease is up. I will be going for a TSX next, simply because I want something a bit smaller and sportier looking this time. Like "dom" said... the rear of the Accord looks a little dull. But still, I will wholeheartedly recommend the Accord. It drives great, very peppy, smooth. My automatic tranny (or engine...dunno) did become a bit more noisy over time (developed a slight "whine" to my ears when slowing down on the engine). Interior of the Accord is very nicely finished, it feels and looks a lot more expensive than most other brands in this class. Overall I think the Accord delivers a LOT of car for the price!

I agree it really comes down to which you prefer after driving both and considering the prices. A good friend has an Accord V6 and his car and mine are just two different animals -- mine is a nimble sports sedan with good power and precision, his is technically more powerful but doesn't feel it, has more room and a plusher ride that suits his wife and family.
They're both terrific cars, the TSX is just the athletic, hyper sibling and the Accord is the comfortable, predictable sibling.

The fact that you are comparing it to the LX Accord shows that you are more practical and don't need any frills in a car to satisfy you.
