Tsx Uri

Alright so yesterday im driving back with my friend from the beach and i see two TSx's make a right, so i follow and tip it into tip tronic and let it rev high so they could hear my intake and notice im one of "them". Surprise Surprise, they go to URI too so i pulled up and one was a car with 4 gorgeous girls and the other was a guy and a girl, and i tried talkin to them and they were like wtf? like why is this kid talking to us? And i asked if they had any mods, and they were so gay about it and just answered no and like walked away. Why doesnt any1 care that we have the same car? I really wish the girls took notice that we had the same car but they also didnt give a sh*t. Oh well, i had a girl with me in teh car so i wasnt doin too bad myself, but i just needed to vent. 2 other TSX's and neither of them give a shit, that not only do we go to the same school but have the same car. wtf!? lol, Does any1 else have this happen to them? Have the same car but they dont give a shit? I meant people younger than you, this doesnt apply if your a lot older where a car is just a car.

Hey, try living in a city, like Cincy, where everyone who you see is like a grandmother. Seriously... I'm 30 and love mod'ing my car, but I at least need ppl who understand what the car is all about. I'm continually frustrated by the "older" crowd in Cincy.

Luckily there's like 3 other guys around here that like to mod, just never see them.

I don't high-five anyone on the street who is wearing the same shirt as I do, nor customers get the same order as mine in a coffee shop. Hence, I don't feel obligated to be nice to everyone drive the same car as I do.

It's more, some don't care and most don't. Don't worry airjordan, when you get older, your priorities will change and you won't care so much about why other people who shared your good taste don't share in the comraderie.

Well, I just got my TSX and have not seen another one on the road since picking it up. I know that most ppl driving one probably wont give a crap (esp cause I live in Toronto right now) that I have the same car,....but I hope that some ppl will respond positively if I nod or strike up a convo in a parking lot etc. Dont worry if someone doesnt really care,........no big deal,.it'll happen.

LOL. Now THAT would be funny. If you see someone at the coffee shop or restaurant with the same order as yours you should give them the double thumbsup/pistol fingers and yell "You the man!"

If the car looked like it had mods on it, then I would say something...maybe. Depends on the people. Its pretty obvious if the person has an interest in your car or not.

I would have been like "wtf" too. Following someone to talk about a car is weird IMO. Now if your both already there them ok, I can see it, but following, no.

They were in highschool as well? That's why! In high school kids tend to be a little more snotty and less open to conversations with staraingers.

Meh - I probably wouldn't approach another car owner unless it looked like he/she had some mods either. When I had my last car, I got approached more by other modders, rather than "same-car" owners. The Acurazine community may seem big, but out of the whole Acura population....??? We're probably an overwhelming minority. In addition to that, most people that drive TSX's are a little bit older I would imagine --- at least, it seems that way in NJ when I'm driving around. I've only had 1 other Acura owner ever approach me about my car. He had a TL w/ A-Spec kit, wheels, etc. It's just the way it is. Outside of other members on this forum? Absolutely no interest...

Where in NJ are you from?

I like takling to people with TSX's Unfortunately I get the same reaction. I had a Wrangler and a Mustang a few years back and noticed fellow owners of those cars DO like talking to other owners. Jeep has a slogan "Its a Jeep thing... You wouldnt understand" Is so true, and it seems Mustang owners all think there cars are the fastest in the world and are always ready to have a little fun. On the other hand, whenever I park at one of my friends houses her neighbor from like 15 houses down drives by and yells out "Nice Car" thats about it though. she doesnt stop

I sometimes use the "you have an awsome car, congrads!" method. The people are automatically flattered, then they laugh when I point out to them my own TSX.

I never had anyone snobbing me when I tried that approach.

Hey, well i wasnt following, but we went into the same parkin lot looked for a spot, and they got out of the car so i said hi and whatever. I live in North Jersey, Bergan County, but now im In college, UNiversity of Rhode Island. We should try and set up a TSX or Acura meet amadeus303. Or if anyone wants to try and set one up with meet in RI, that would be cool too.

In your other thread I mentioned that I go to URI... its funny because i was on campus today and i'm about 98% sure I saw that same TSX with 4 hot girls in it. You'll come to realize that at URI, there are plenty of people (particularly girls) who have very nice cars. They were obviously gifts and most of them don't know the first thing about their car.

AJ... PM me when you think you'll be heading back to NJ for your breaks. We'll try to get some people together for a little local meet, eh?

If you want people to wave and flash their lights and talk to you because you have the same car as them, then you need to buy a time machine and travel to 1991 and buy a Saturn.

It's all good, not everyone that buys this cars mods it, knows what an aftermarket mod is, nor cares if you want to talk to them about this car.... PS, they also had girls... maybe they were interested in other things?
