I got mine from Home Depot. It is a roll of thin medium weight black vinly (plastic lining) with some kinda... huh... slot... texture. Very taugh but easy to trim to your size.

Hard plastic? What for? It doesn't seem to suffer when I put heavy stuff on it, so obviously it's strong enough.

I like the trunk tray a lot. Find it very useful.

If you want an alterative, I believe Weathertech makes one.

Got mine for free plus the rubber interior mats and love em'. Wouldn't spend the $ to buy em from the dealer though.

Here's a dumb question...

I've received my trunk tray (ordered it online) but haven't received the TSX yet.

As everyone else has said, it's somewhat flimsy, but I really don't care. As long as it protects the trunk from crap. (My last car, a bottle of bleach got cracked open in the trunk, wasn't too happy and wish I had something like this.)

Question is, it doesn't lay flat at the moment. When I put it in the trunk, is there anything that holds down the edges/corners so that it lays flat?

No, it just lays in the trunk. There is no mounting apparatus to it.

nothing holds it down, but it fits snug...

when i first got my tray i think i left a few phonebooks on the corners overnight to get it flat

bigwilliestyle,

I just picked up my 05 and i had the trunk tray put in by the dealers. As far as I know, it is fitted to the frame of the trunk so I don't think it needs anything to latch onto for it to stay flat. It sit pretty flush against the carpet from what I can tell.

Cool. If it fits snug against the edges, it's probably fine. Like someone else said, throw a couple bowling balls in there, it'll flatten out after a few drives through town.

I didn't pay for mine. Once we agreed on a price I said, "oh, and I want a trunk tray at that price". They bitched but then gave in. I love it, it's protected my carpet from dirt, sand, liquid and lots more.

I love my trunk tray

I didn't even ask for it or wanted it initially...but I guess they had a bunch extra and I found it in my trunk when I picked up my car

Not too bad. Just have to pay attention and not drill a hole where you shouldn't.

Could somebody lock this thread and let it die?

There are other (better) threads about trunk trays...
