Was heading to a buddies place last night, had the windows down and for the first time I actually heard what a tsx soundsl ike driving by. Is it just me or is the tsx almost too quiet? Pretty much no induction or exhaust noise just engine. I think something like the icebox will be perfect for me when it comes out.

 

yea.... its weird. you get a car... your glad its quiet...

after you enjoy the serenity for awhile... you wanna hear it purr.

a month later... guess ill order a CAI

month later... guess ill slap on an exhuast...

month later... fuck it might as well just unbolt the headers take off my hood and let that bitch spew exhuast waste all over innocent bystanders while mimick the sound of a B1 bomber performing a super sonic flyby.

 

I have noticed that it is very quiet. A nice "purrrrrrr" like sound would be nice. What would you guys recommend ?

 

I'd recommend trading me for my '96 Integra, which has plenty of "purrr" coming into the cabin!

 

I think TSXY had installed a home made intake on her TSX and decided tro take it off because it was too loud. Anyone remember that.

I don't care how loud a AEM CAI is, I'm gettin one.

 

I love induction noise so i might well get a CAI. However it seems like AEM is on ly going to come out with a short ram system. That's why i'm thinking about waiting for comptech's icebox. Will have to wait for the dynos and see....

 

With the 6MT, I've found myself "cruising" at 4-5k RPMs and not realizing that I forgot to upshift. As someone who's not used to keeping one eye glued to the tach, yeah, I'd say it's too quiet at times.
