TL is an AMERICAN CAR, designed/targeted SPECIFICALLY for American taste...built by Ohioan (this right ?) ...if I want American, I'd rather go for a Caddy.
TSX is, IMO very different in "concept"....designed/targeted for the rest of the developed world: Japan, Europe. To me it has a more subtle, sophisticated aura.

The main reason I didn't get the TL was due to price. So I would have gotten a TL if price were no issue... that extra 6k is a lot of money for memory seats, LED lighting, bixenons, and a bigger engine... =oP

The TL has a few more toys and a lot more HP but....as C&D eludes to in their latest review, you can only do so much with FWD, if it was the same price and a rear driver, I would have gone with the TL. The TSX has no torque steer that I can detect, the TL, well, lets just say that isn't the case, especially the MT. The final straw for me was the styling, the TL just didn't attract me like the TSX did. (The TL looked to me like a person that needs to lose 20 lbs.)
And, as for those elsewhere on this thread talking about size - it's my understanding that it is not size that counts, but rather what is done with it - which applies to the TSX as well. It is a compact package that matrixes handling, luxury, ride into one sweet package. understated in presentation.

I chose the TSX over the TL
TSX.
We test-drove both the TSX and the TL in the last couple of weeks, expecting to prefer the TL, and considering doing a deal on one. And yes, the TL did have exhilerating power, but my wife and I both very much disliked it's ride and handling compared with the TSX. And since we're coming from a compact car anyway, the TSX does not disappoint us in terms of roominess. In fact the TL felt too big. We pick up our new TSX tomorrow!

i had the money for the TL but when i saw that the TSX had so much to offer for a cheaper price i went with the TSX the Tl is a little to big and i would guess not as good on gas as the TSX with the 4 I still love just abot all the acuras there all nice. so my vote goes to the TSX

In truth, I never test drove the TL because it was out of my price range so I can't say first hand which one drives better. But I do love my TSX. Once I get hondatafied I don't think I'll need any more horsepower.

i've driven my dad's TL for about 4 months and LOVE it. I can't wait until i get my TSX. but i've driven a TSX on a test drive and still like the TL, but i can't go against my car so i choose the TSX. then again the TL gives you that extra boost when u need it on the highway....

This is how I compared the 2:
TSX: smaller, sportier, better interior
TL: faster, bluetooth, but too fast
TL = speeding tickets if I were to get one. That and I come from a 2door prior, so TL is a tad large for me.

rear-end on the TL looks a little short, compared to the overall length of the car.
but, i would grab the TL if it were the same price as the TSX.
i'm not a racer, but i would enjoy driving a v6 MT, and i think the TL would be a nice drive.
still, total cost of ownership would be higher i would assume...

well... both cars have their strong points. I'd be stuck in the middle haha and say SAVE UP AND BUY BOTH lol.
but I like TSX for size, the handling (MOST DEF), styling of the rear end, nice color options (ABP w/ ebony...even though i got NBP w/ ebony lol), Japanese build quality, gauge styling, and the Smoothness.
TL for that POWER, the bluetooth, 5.1 audio system, the cool silver navi button, and the nice aluminum knobs, and front legroom.
FYI yes I have driven both ;] I jack my friends TL all the time mwahah

i actually think the TSX is better designed inside and out. it's cleaner and crisper in design. i never liked tat line tat runs along the TL's side. thats y i never looked at the TL except at the autoshow. and those front overhangs do seem longer in that car. but if money wasn't a concern, i guess i'd go for a TL for the better quality materials and V6, and hands free bluetooth...
but design wise, i'd pick TSX as the better car

I voted TSX without hesitation. I've driven a friend's TL a few times and I find myself isolated much more from the experience of driving the car. Sure, it accelerates in a straight line more forcefully, but at least for me that doesn't make it more fun. It's so easy to just accelerate quickly; give me $32k, a '68 Camaro, and a big block and I'll have you running low 11's -- bluetooth, navi, dvd-audio and all. It's a lot harder to find a car that is refined, smooth, poised, and has that smile factor on those occasions when you're not accelerating from a stoplight.
I could very easily have bought the TL but it isn't at all what I want. I may be 38, but I'm not old enough to need a luxury sedan as much as a luxurious 4-dr sports car. TSX for me, don't care what you say.

That sounds correct. I know TL is built in the U.S. and TSX in Japan, but I don't know exactly where in the U.S. the TL is built.
I would still pick a TSX if the price were the same. I have always liked smaller cars that handle well.

Money wasn't an issue for my choice and I still chose the TSX. Although the TL has 270 hp stock, HP is really overrated when measuring an enjoyable driving experience. When I drove the 6-spd TL, I felt too much torque steer, boat-like handling, and a car too frequently seen in Orange County.
My previous car was an Acura Integra, which was a complete joy to drive. The TSX allowed me to salvage some of that feeling with more class.
