Hey... you missed April Fools day by 15 days!

You got some pics ? I want A-Spec so verryyy badly!

(Don't even kid about this!)

I don't wanna seem like a 'tard when I call my dealer to get me an A-Spec kit that isn't really available... so somebody please confirm this. And for goodness sakes, bring your camera!

Someone might take the initiative to call them and confirm it... their website is HERE.

I just emailed them my inquiry.

A quick search from http://www.edmorseacura.com reveals that currently there are 5 TSXes in stock. 1 is priced at $27,035 (no nav) and 2 at $29,035 (with nav). And the other 2? $28,990 . . . so I guess that must mean the A-SPEC kit costs $1955.

There is no way the A-SPEC only cost $1955 US.
You know how much the RSX's & TL's cost ??
they both cost $5000 US each without installation ($500).
So that won't be A-SPEC for sure

We'll see. While I agree that $2000 does seem low, I do not think the A-SPEC kit will cost $5000 for the TSX. A $5000 option is one thing for a $34000 car and something else for a sub $30000 car. And I believe you are mistaken about the RSX A-SPEC being set at $5000 because I do not think AHM has set the pricing for the RSX A-SPEC yet. If they have, it's not in their press release website.

Acura announced A-Spec packages for the RSX and TL BEFORE it was available at dealers. In fact its common parctice to announce something in a press release BEFORE its made available. There have been NO announcements from Acura regarding an A-Spec package for the TSX.

The only way that dealer has a A-Spec equipped TSX is if Acura sent them one for some reason. One that is NOT FOR SALE, but only there for show.

And I still doubt its an actual A-Spec, probly just a TSX dressed up by the dealer.

I bet they just bolted on parts from the TL and made their own A-Spec. I'm pretty sure we would have heard or seen something before someone had it at a dealer.

i don't care about the A-spec, i mean does it increase hp and speed, not really.

the point is, all for show and no go. if the A-spec TSX will cost $33,000, then i'll just go buy the non-navi TL for only $500 dollars more.

I already have the TSX and the OEM ground kit. I am thinking of the bremo brakes, supension.

Oh yeah, I want the little "A-Spec" badge.

Can somebody be as kind as to point me to a place (online) which shows pricing for the RSX A-SPEC? I searched for it but can't find it anywhere. You can't even build an A-SPEC RSX from acura.com's build and price. I do know the A-SPEC package for RSX has been announced a long time ago but is it actually available? I have yet to see one on the streets or in dealerships . . .

kind of doubting that this is actual A-spec. I think it'd be strange for them to release same OEM bodykit as already exists as A-spec, especially as there are already two other Honda-made kits that I'm sure could be easily imported over.

Doesn't the TL and the RSX use the OEM ground kit.

I want that badge.
BTW, I like the RSX rims. If only they could get them in 18's.

That's kind of lame, if so, you pay that much for the a-spec kit I'd expect something more than just the standard OEM kit. I know the concept had the Modulo Voltage kit on it, though I'd prefer Euro-R

maybe he thought you were talking about the TL?
That doesn't mean the dealership first mentioned in this thread didn't add the oem kit and wheels then throw on the A-spec badge just so they could jack up the price.

Otherwise I'd think we'd have already heard about an A-spec TSX before it was available.

I am not holding my breath...

When I got a reply email from this dealer all he mentioned was the TL A-Spec... I think the guy got it confused.

I don't expect a kit until October... at the earliest (Just in time for the 2005 TSX). That has been the general information I have received from my dealer and a few others I have contacted regarding A-Spec for the TSX. One dealer admitted to have a few on pre-order, but made reference to how long it took for RSX & TL A-Spec kits to come from the time ordred. Even mentioned that RSX kits are no longer being manufactured and even TL kits are on hold. Makes me wonder why I even bother getting worked up about the whole idea.

I could probably "make" a better A-Spec if I just sprung for a Modulo Voltage front bumper and anything else I can buy found on the concept.

The rest of the modulo voltage kit is the same as the OEM stuff here, AFAIK. That bumper is damn expensive, however. you could get an entire Euro-R kit for the price.

Hmm...I find it odd that they would have one before the Oracle has even mentioned it. My guess is that they decided to test fit the stuff from a TL on the TSX and it worked so they're just selling it as the A-Spec.

I have got to imagine Acura corporate would have something to say about this. Brand is a big thing ... can't just make up your own A-Spec ...

So either this place has the real thing ... or this is a farse. So really ... no one has a digital camera near this dealership?

So like was said before:

here in van

honda/acura dealers love to make their own stuff..

ie acura rsx type x, a base rsx + replica type R wing (not even
the oem honda one)

or honda civic street edition, agian, base civic w/ some 14" rims
+ an oem spoiler.

A-Spec or not, doesn't worth the money... Imagine what you can get for your car with $5800.

Not too crazy about da A-spec badge also. I would rather put TSXBASHER's Foucs badge on. Does that make my car as fast as Focus? Hey TSXBASHER, can I have your badge?

lol

speaking of performance packages, I stopped by my local honda dealer to check up on a part for my girl's accord as saw one of these there

Looked really nice in person, one of the first new Civics that I really liked, very solid body kit and nice wheels. Its the Honda Factory Performance (HFP) package. Too bad its $22k for a Civic EX coupe (w/ drum brakes and all).

They had a S2000 next to it with a TSX shifter on it!? Do they come that way?

This past week's Autoweek magazine (Mustang GT-R on the cover) has a quick blurb stating that Acura will announce the specifications for the TSX A-spec in the next couple of months.

Go to autoweek.com and do a search on "TSX". There's an article from April 14th regarding SEMA - that's where it is.

I bought my A-spec last june

I own an Acura TSX.
It has the following:

Upgraded suspention
Bremo brakes
OEM ground kit
18 rims and tires
Badge "A-Spec"

Therefore, mine is an A-spec.
Puhhhhhleeeezzzz.

Actually, mine is comlpetely stock, just like that dealer's TSX was
before they optioned it out and threw an A-spec badge on it.
If you believe it's for real, than I have an extremely rare Geo Tracker Type R for sale if interested.

Quick Reply: TSX A-SPEC released!!!
