TSX Snow Performance

I think my TSX would perform fine in the Boston snow... as soon as I figure out a way to get into it that is...

I'm a little north of Boston in Mass. Had mine in a garage but was out today to run some errands. Car handled great.
Good luck with that shoveling

It appears you will first have to add a snow plow.

Thanks for the photo.

Took my TSX out today for the first time since the big snow (I am in Bethlehem, PA) and it handled really well. My entire campus is on a huge hill, and the majority of the roads hadn't been plowed, but the VSA kicked in and cruised right through the snow. I was impressed.

EDIT: Awesome photo, BTW

Runs great in the snow if you drive right

Michigan here.... snow and cold. This car runs great if you drive right. Slow down and take it easy on a slippery road.

Wait until you dig out and see what kind of a hack job your neighbor did to the side of your TSX while he was digging out his car.

Yeah, it was the best parking job I could do... managed to grab an off-street spot... I feel bad for everyone who had a front loader rocking up and down the street inches away from their doors... Days like this you really wish for a garage.

Out of curiosity, did you leave the wipers up for a reason?

I leave the wiper up on my car so that they do not freeze over. Usually when I have the defrost on it causes the wipers to freeze up and then when i clean them they wipe the windshield like $h1t

Does it actually help very much? If so, perhaps I should do the same (no garage here either).

I'm in Hartford and we got it pretty good. Took the car out Saturday night to get pizza......tempting fate or course.....and the road had yet to be plowed and there wasn't much traffic.

I have Bridgstone Blizzaks on and did everything I could to loose control and didnt' spin out once....stupid yes....fun even more-so yes, but there wasn't any traffic so safe all the same.

Walked in the house and told the wife that my car handled better than her WRX in the snow.....she didn't believe me. I did watch a Ford Explorer wipe out though....put a smile on my face

Yep - another reason for doing it is if you live in swing temperature climate, the snow melts, then freezes and your wipers are frozen in place. What he's doing makes a lot of sense, but you can't do it in a neighborhood with random vandalism, as those wipers can be way too attractive to some juvenile delinquent type.

Yeah, it helps so that all you have to do is scrape off the windshield and everything else is all set. Normally I wouldn't do this because the neighborhood can be sketchy... And now that I think of it, this snow cover is a good theft deterrent...

Wow...you guys got it pretty bad in Boston. My girl is flying back to Western Mass today so it should be interesting for her. We only got about 4 inches down here in DC over the weekend.

I have respect for everybody that has to deal with that kind of weather. Here in New Orleans, LA , we get snow about once every 10 years. Believe it or not, it snowed Christmas day here. You should have seen how everybody freaks out. Its like everybody is a kid again. I wish I could have broken away with the TSX in the snow for a few miles of play time...but I think the red wine in my body would have made for a bad decision. My black TSX did look pretty cool with a few inches of snowy accent. BTW, we think it is freakin cold here now and it is in the 40's.
