TSX Owner Sign-In Database
I thought there was a lot of good information in the TSX Owner Sign-In thread so I compiled it into a database to make it easier for members to find pricing in their area.
Soopa is going to work on getting it online but in the meantime I thought I'd share some highlights of the collected data:
Most popular color combo: Carbon Grey Pearl / Ebony (23%)
Most popular transmission choice: AT (60%)
There are exactly the same number of people that have navi as those that don't (93 members each)
Average Pricing
2004 MY
Navi: $27,350.45
Non-Navi: $25,483.91
2005 MY
Navi: $28,085.47
Non-Navi: $26,118.74
So stay tuned for the database....
Edit: Removed cars with dealer-installed options from the averages.

I separated out the Canadian prices so they don't affect the pricing. There really weren't many participants in the thread from Canada but I can still post statistics if we want.

Well, you did put the "u" in the word colour, but you mis-spelled your own kind in the title ----> Candian.

In a sense, those averages at the top will be inflated or deflated depending on options chosen. Perhaps I should do a separate average of cars without options...

See what the boss thinks, I'm sure he'll have some input.
Ok, I updated the first post to only include cars that have no options in the average. Then I thought of one other interesting stat: the average amount spent on dealer installed options
Average spent on dealer installed options:
2004
Navi: $956.27
Non-Navi: $159.84
2005
Navi: $575.43
Non-Navi: $341.26
So what does this mean?
It would appear that people who splurged on Navi also bought more options.

hmmm, maybe the navi owners are suckers for getting options installed at the dealership and non-navi owners do them for cheaper elsewhere.
but seriously, i wonder if we should've added our oem options and how much we paid for them and how much install cost. that would really help prospective buyers.
Good info Dan. Thanks for putting the time in.

Okie...
The database is up and I put this rough interface on it
I'll expand upon this later, allowing you to add/update... and "slickifying" it a good bit.
I've semi-integrated this with the vbb database so I could in theory have this info flush out in your forum profile...
Anyway, it's a beginning. Good work putting all the shit together Dan

Damn, Dan, 4 hours? You must not have much to do after you get home from work...
