The 1st gen S2000 made 240 out of a 2.0. I believe at the time that set a record for specific output (hp per liter) on a NA engine (any amount of cylinders) at 120hp/liter.

Funny thing is I had a TSX, have an S2000 and my roomate had an ITR. In the end S2000 > ITR > TSX in speed and performance.

Do it. I love S2K's. Love driving my friend's custom turbo-ed S2K with the top down, those cars are just amazing.

I made the huge mistake of driving a friends S2K 2 Friday's ago and then getting back into the TSX.

I'm going to be in the lower 1% of all S2k drivers, but I wasn't overwhelmed by it. I've driven Porsche Boxster S, Vipers, etc etc. Guess I had expected more not to mention getting the rear to break loose in hot corners was easier than doing a 360 in my BMW 325i. Again, nice car, but I'm Boxster S biased.

I had my rear break the other day on an off-ramp. It was easy to correct because it was smooth, but man, I friggin hate these SPT's. The 712's I used to had never did that.

Funny story:

My mom drives a 2004 BMW 325i - shes loves her car but hates her gas mileage. She says she can "watch" her gas gauge drop.

She doesn't understand the difference between a big block V8 and a 2 cycle moped engine - but when I showed her my new ride - and bragged about my mileage numbers - she said, "I want a V4 - does BMW make one?"

HA!

It's OK EuRTSX, even though I chuckled a little, I don't think any less of you. Actually, I don't even know you, so my opinion doesn't count. To be honest, I'm just using this thread to beef up my post count so I can send PM's.

If you think this is funny, you should spend more time in Ramblings, rather than trying to figure out why your MPG is so horrible because of your terrible driving

Gosh, EurTSX is cool for being a good sport.

I'm observing other members here post responses that are unintelligent and uncalled for.

The power certainly wasn't overwhelming (Although I only hit 8K). And since I've never driven a Boxster I can't compare. Problem was FWD was immediately obvious and annoying as hell as soon as I got back into the TSX. The S2K's gearbox was far better than the TSX's (I wasn't expecting such a huge difference) I felt like I was sitting in a tractor trailer afterwards. I kept trying to lower my seat and move the seat closer to the shifter.

Driving one pretty much cemented my thoughts of not bothering to mod the TSX. While modding will surely improve the car, I don't think it will get it anywhere near a stock S2K. I'd rather focus my budget on obtaining a weekend toy. Whether its an S2K or something else.

I thinking bike as well. The Bang for the buck can't be beat. Only 2 problems.

My wife won't allow me to get one. and I think I'd like a weekend toy that could carry my 2 boys as well. 4 seater sports cars aren't plentiful.

Put one in the passenger seat, and dump the other one in the trunk.
