The TSX Lures in Another

I was at my uncles house about 3 weeks ago fixing my cousin's PC. While inside my uncle was talking about buying a new car and had his mind set on a new Camry or Accord. When I left he came outside with me and immediately noticed the TSX. This wasn't the first time he saw my car but I guess when you start looking for a new car you start taking a closer look at other people's rides. He really liked it and kept saying "what a nice car" but in Italian

3 weeks go by and I get a call at home last night from my mom telling me that uncle Ralph is ready to buy a TSX but wanted to make sure I wouldn't be upset about it I tell my mom, of course not and to tell my uncle that he won't find a better car in that price range. I'll give him a call tonight to let him know he's making the right decesion.

I guess good taste runs in the family

That's pretty respectful how he wanted to check to see that you were ok if he bought one, old school Italian . You should let him know that the Milano Red with Ebony is going to be coming out for MY 2005. Any the other 2005 upgrades just in case he wants to wait.

I don't think a middle aged Italian who speaks broken english would have a good time on the forum.

Ya, it was nice of him to ask but I wouldn't have even thought about getting upset if he hadn't. It also turns out he wants the Indigo Blue. I'd love to steer him away from it and to the PWP instead but doing so may make it seem like I don't want him to get the same color. I'll just steer clear of that subject.

And Viking I don't think its certain Canada is getting the Red/Ebony. Last I heard Red was gone for 05.

Thats exactly how I came to consider a TSX when I was shopping for a new car... I was actually looking at a WRX wagon and even a Nissan Altima 3.5 SE. But when I was driving one day to work, I knoticed this TSX wizzing by in the fast lane. So when i got to work that morning, I did some research on the internet on this car and found nothing but great reviews. So after a test drive I was immediately hooked on this car.

Speaking of the 3.5SE. My parents neighbour just picked up an 05 and damn that interior is a big step up. Still can't touch the TSX or Accords though. But good on Nissan for fixing a major problem.

The Lure

My brother just picked up his '04 TSX yesterday. He had been considering the Volvo S60 and Lexus IS, but fell in love with my TSX over the past few months.

I think there's a good chance he would have bought one without my influence, but I did help out.

He didn't ask for my blessing or anything, but there's no jealousy or weirdness, 'cause I don't care for the fake wood look, and he got an automatic (no offense AT folks, but he's been a stick driver forever and pulled the "I'm a grown-up now with a commute and a baby" excuse )

The Accord EX V6 ended up being a close second choice after all was said and done.

So my boss comes by my office today and asks me about my TSX. Seems his son's CL was totaled two weeks ago and he's looking for a replacement car. I think there will be one more TSX owner out there very soon.

No worries, us AT drivers are used to being treated like second class citizens around here.

That's funny considering 70% of all TSX's are AT.

Are you denying the existence of MT snobs like fdl and Clutchperformer among others?

I blame myself for this massive

Let's call it a truce and go back to discussing recruitment of the next crop of TSX drivers (hopefully most of which will do the right thing and opt for the 6MT )

The hatred between AT and MT drivers has been increasingly showing its ugly head (Or maybe its just me who hates the MT snobs ) Although Dan may be correct in saying that 70% of TSX buyers opt for the AT, I'd venture to bet 70% of board members drive an MT.

This war will come to a head at some point and only one group will survive. God help us all.

MT Snobs

Take it from this almost middle aged Italian who drives an RSX Type S. We still have the stones to get the job done and mingle on this site.

tons of manuals in Cary, NC

i see TSXs everywhere i go. there are like 4 within a 2 mile drive of my office. I was at a bar the other night and notice 2 others parked near mine. All 3 (mine included of course!) were Manuals.

the Cary dealer i guess sells all the manuals they have. the chapel hill dealer on the other hand had absolutely 0 on their lot when i went up there to comparison shop.

My neighbor just gone one, luckily a different color and no body kit. I'm sure it's AT.

Samething happened to me. When my uncle was ready to by a new car he wanted a TSX. He even wanted navi just so the interior would look as good as mine does.
