TSX on ice
TSX on ice
We got an ice storm last night here in Erie, PA. Normally we get snow. Anyway, I woke up this morning to find my entire car encased in ice about 1/2 inch deep. Seeing that my ice scraper was inside my car, I had to use my keys to chip at the ice on the door handle and even then, I had to pull with all my might to break the ice from the door. Finally, with my weapon in hand (icescraper), I chipped and chipped at the ice. It took me 40 minutes to get just the ice off all the windows, even with the heater on!
However, the highlight of the day was when I was chipping at the headlights, an entire piece that molded with the front bumper came loose. Like a bra nicely molded around a woman's breast, the ice had all the contours of the car and it preserved a nice mold of the Acura emblem which I thought was kinda cool. Too bad I didn't have my camera to capture the moment.
I mean, how often does mother nature pay tribute to the Acura emblem by making a mold of it?

Did you try going through the trunk first? Probably would've been easier to open without risk of damage then the door handle.
I personaly won't scrape the headlights. I'll clear off the snow but thats it. My g/f scrapped her headlights now they're scratched to hell. Have to get some plastic polish now.
