TSX is a horrible car.

Ever since i got my car i have had so many problems with it. Here is a short list of my problems. Seat moves. Headlight problems. Trunk problems. Car has a severe pull to the right. if i said all the problems we would be here all day. My car has been in the shop to many times. The dealership tries to fix the problems only to f*** more things. I will never get another japanese car. They are the wrost. I am seriously considering the 2005 Mercedes c230 sedan. That car is so tight and beutifully. It makes the TSX look and feel like a kia.

If reliability is your number one priority, stay clear of Mercedes.

Then how do explain JD Pow rankings where Honda/Toyota are tops and MB languishes near the bottom?

EDIT: Consistently, BTW.

I dont car about jd b.s. Oviously my car does not qualify under that rating. german is the way to go. The germans look at cars as an enjoyment, not like the rest of the world that looks at a car as a form of transportaion. Why do german cars win most of the comparison tests in the magazenes?
jap is crap

I'm sorry that you experienced so many problems with your TSX and I can understand why you feel the way you do. But to make genralizations based on your experience is a tad too simplistic. After all, if your girl cheats on you does that mean that all women cheat? Jap is not crap in this case. In fact the JD Power rankings and the just released reliability rankings would indicate just the opposite. So, yes, "your" TSX is a horrible car but THE TSX is not.

Is this the engrish thread? Everyone here has been dropping articles left and right, and turning adjectives into adverbs. I would hesitate to make generalizations based on experiences with single units with one individual make or model, but that is my personal 2 cents.

yup, I totally agree!!
Japanese car sux, b/c you get only like 1 or 2 outta 10 with problems ---> lack of consistency.
MB or BMW, gurantee 9 outta 10. This is the way to go, so the buyer knows what to expect from what they are paying for.

MUHAHHAHAHAHA
go MB go!
go BMW go!
go Audi go!

I won't quibble over your specific complaints, but many states have "lemon laws" to cover situations where the car has something that (in typical language) significantly impairs its use and that cannot be resolved within a certain number of trips to the dealer.

Generally, you need to act sooner rather than later if you want any relief provided by one of these statutes.

I don't necessarily agree with this. Car and Driver do not judge the 10 best cars based on long term reliability.

If reliability is a criteria, then I could provide the argument that the majority of the 10 best "winners" should not be on the 10 best list. Many of the cars that made the list were new models.

Make that two. But, I see it so often that I figured it pointless to even comment on it. I guess it just comes with the territory.

exactly, i was pointing out the C&D Top 10 NOT for reliability and neither was justinnumwateva. he was saying "The germans look at cars as an enjoyment, not like the rest of the world that looks at a car as a form of transportaion. " The C&D Top 10 factor in enjoyment in their evaluation as well, and guess what? there are some jap cars on that list

If C&D looked at reliability for their Top 10 how would you explain the Ford Focus?

That list is all about the car, not about its reliability.

I just found this thread. Justinnum, are you a reincarnation of Crazytree?

At any rate, you should learn to put things into perspective if you ever wish to retain some sort of credibility, especially here.
