TSX in HondaTuning

Don't know if this is a repost. I just picked up the September issue of Honda Tuning and they a feature of a TSX. Anyone here? Good to see some press. Would love to see a TSX in ITs power pages.

You could have built a boat with all that fiberglass. A agree though, I do like the header. I like the rims too, just not the kit.

Its a nice car for magazine quality (wild body kit, with some engine mods). Not to knock on the guy's car. He is in a magazine, and everyone has thier own tastes.

However I think there are members here that have a more "featured magazine quality" or show quality TSX. I dont want to call them out or draw unwanted attention to thier cars, but they know who they are.

It is nice to see a TSX featured in a magazine though. I figured with the supercharged Racing Hart TSX built by HKS was it? Anyways I thought that would get the car magazines looking in our direction, but apparently not. Also with the success of the RealTime Racing Team TSXs, you would think there would be more of them featured.

I think I know who some of them are... I doubt there'll ever be any unwanted attention when one puts in the effort to enhance the car

Tsxondubs has built a show quality magazine feature vehicle. Tasteful, well designed, difficult to immitate without spending alot of $$$, just what a magazine is looking for. This is one of the members I was referring to.

What I wanted to mention was that my magazine quality standards requires more than just bolt on parts and a body kit. Those mods have become so common every kid on the block has this done to thier cars.

A magazine quality feature car should be more than bolt on mods. There should be the focus on attention to details, such as materials used, custom paints, custom fabrication work, machined parts custom done for the specific vehicle owner, etc. Modifications and things that set them apart from catalog ordered parts.

Once again, it is nice to see a TSX representing our community. I have very high standards for magazine featured cars. I worked for over 10 years in the aftermarket industry and out of over 200 very extensively built custom cars, I felt that only about 40 were magazine quality. Maybe Im was spoiled by being in the industry.

Growing on me a little, but if it was a little more tasteful I'd like it more... (i.e. not so low to the ground and eliminate the ricer feel)

I agree. It's amazing how some of us have clean modifications and can't get shit like that to happen and some riced out car makes it over a number of pages.

Props for a member getting a featured article, but I don't like the "Raven" body kit. For some reason I like the back bumper though. The front bumper is just way to "robocop" for me though and the side skirts don't fit well. I wouldn't mind seeing that rear bumper with the mugen kit though

Everything looks great! The only thing I don't like is that front bumper. It's a little oo flashy for me. I love the rest of the kit though. And the interior is Fk'n saweet! Nice audio system. But with all that work, I am surprised you don't have Navigation. You should convert so that bad boy has voice recognition in it.

I think your car looks great and I look forward to seeing it featured, so what if your wheels are 20's they are a quality wheel and they look good on your car

For your stereo set-up, I'd could give you a few points for that, but most people won't see any of that outside of a show. Good stuff there

Exterior wise, I personally think it is the ugliest thing one could do to a TSX (the raven kit). As I mentioned before, some of us put in large quantities of money for quality parts and do installations the right way. To me, you have a lot of domestic parts running your car, which in my mind takes away from the whole thing of the "import" scene. Next time your car makes headines you'll probably have an engine bay and interior full of the newest APC lineup.

Props for making the magazine, for that I you. Like TSXondubs said, way to represent the TSX group.
Props cannot be given from this end for the car and parts installed to get you on the pages of that magazine.

I'm left to believe there are no more magazines that feature clean modified cars now except Import Tuner or Turbo Magazine.

I am not sure what you are trying to get at regarding the quality of the installation of the modifications on my car I think if my car had a different kit on it ie: Mugen or Kenstyle you would not have nearly as many negative comments about the car. As for your apc comment you are horribly inaccurate and I find it hard to believe that based on my current engine and interior mods you could come up with such a statement.

Everyone has thier own style for kits, colors, mods, etc. I dont mean to knock on you or for you to take anything I said personally. The kit is a little extreme, but its what some magazines prefer to feature. It is good to see a TSX featured in a magazine though, so props for that.

As far as any featured magazine TSX, I expect a few more mods that just bolt on parts to be worthy of being featured. Members such as cmf, tsxondubs, dzuy, CCColtsicehockey, and a few others Im sure Im forgetting have such cars. They modified beyond bolt ons parts and feature mods that cannot be catalog purchased, but have to be custom made.

I worked in the aftermarket industry from 1989 to about 2003. It was harder to be featured in 1989 than it is today. Ive built numerous show quality cars with very extravagant budgets and had many in different magazines. However there were some cars that I would not reccomend because they lacked the attention to detail, and true customization throught the vehicle from motor, interior, to the tunk and sound system.

The car looks nice except from it's bumper and tail kit. Normaly it could look decent to me except that so many ricers have cheap knockoff versions of it. Some aren't even painted or they are spray painted, so now everytime i see one of those i think "ricer" no matter how tastefully done it is.

Congrads on the mag feature.

I like the look, the kit is a little much for my own car, but i think it looks good.

I like that splitter also....what is the ETA on your carbon fiber hood?

I would like to add that I don't think your car would have made that mag without that body kit! So as much as I dislike that choice in body kit for "my car", I gotta give it mega kudos since I think it was the main contributer in landing the spread!
