I seriously considered the Accord V6, it came down to being annoyed by the automatic transmission in the 4-door Accord, vs. being annoyed by the lack of rear doors in the 6-speed Accord Coupe, vs. being annoyed by the HP gap between the domestic Accord V6 and the JDM Accord/TSX. Since my wife keeps telling me I drive too fast anyway, that choice was easy.

BTW, if I were spending someone else's money and not my own hard-earned cash, I'd choose the new BMW E60 5-series, the 530i with the 6-speed manual. It's probably the best sports sedan made today.

"Don't laugh" indeed. I haven't participated in this poll. But if I did, I'd split my vote between the Civic and the Evolution.

I voted OTHER. If cash was not an issue and the TSX was not available, I would choose the 04 Acura TL 6M. Close to the TSX, but with more power, a few more features and yet still an Acura.

Even for all the advance doubts and bitchings (including mine) about the new TL, I think we can be pretty sure that in a couple of months it would win this kind of poll in a landslide.

Not necessarily. There are those that that may prefer a car in the "smaller" category (ie. TSX, 9-3, IS300, etc). The TL falls in the midsize category of g35's, TL, Maxima's etc.

We could never put the TL on this poll because of all the TL owners here, just like we if we put TSX on that poll it would obviously win by a landslide.
