A tough one for some of you I know, but if you couldnt have a TSX, which on of these cars would be #1 on your list (taking into consideration price).

If price was a factor - Accord EX V6
If if was not a factor - BMW 3 series

In that list I'd have to say 330Ci (if 65K is enough??)

If money was not a concern, and the TSX was not available, and if I _had_ to buy a car and I had no choice but what was on the list, I would opt for the Accord and hope that I could acclimate myself to its awkward, ugly, out-of-balance styling. I would seriously consider the 4-cylinder Accord EX to be a competitor to the TSX. I would argue that the 4-cylinder Accord has profoundly much more in common with the 4-cylinder TSX than the Accord 6, both in manners, ride, and handling.

Sometimes we have reasons that wouldn't matter to hardly anyone else, and which don't sound believable even for ourselves. It's the "width" factor, and the size of my stupid little garage. The Accords (both sedan and coupe) are about 2.5" wider than the 9-3, and even about an inch wider than the 9-5. Hard to believe, but true. And the Accords are even wider than my old TL-S ('03), which was a constant struggle.
But really, the truth is that I prefer a trimmer car anyway. I really feel the difference in sportiness and handling, totally aside from getting into the stupid garage.

Hey Larch,
You and I are like those two guys on Classic Star Trek. You know the ones - the half black and half white ones (Frank Gorshin).
Don't feel too bad, if this were posted on a 9-3 board with the above choices (plus the TSX) - it would be a no-brainer! TSX by a long shot!

Hope you are ok ... but I added the C230 as a late comer to the poll ... if someone wants to switch your vote let me know

The backend of the Accord is too Fugly and the handling leaves alot to be desired. As much as I hate to admit it I'd have to say the Saab 9-3 is the closest to the TSX in value for dollar. But only because of the VERY generous rebates GM is handing out. Without the rebate I would have to say the Audi A4. But I'd be terrified of the miserable electrical systems in the Audi.

I think we should let finalheaven cast an honorary vote for the C230.
(Somebody's got to do it!)
(Sorry FH, I'm not in the football league, so I have to do my trash-talking over here.)

I would have bought the Mazda 6. Almost did. Accord EX-V6 a distant third. Other than a brief flirt w/ BMW none of the other cars in the poll were on my list for reasons of price and/or reliability concerns. Price no object, I'd be looking at a BMW 5 series.

BUT I wasn't too far from buying a 325i, so that's my vote (though I really think those 9-3's are beautiful!).

I would go with a 04 Audi A4 1.8T (6MT). A surprise to many of you, my close friend bought the first batch of the B6 Audi A4, and since then he had only one burnt bulb. No other mechanical or electrical problems though.

I would say the IS 300 or BMW 3-series because the handling and acceleration on both of them are amazing. I test drove both of them, and I loved the IS 300 but didn't get it becuase I have another lexus in da house, and I felt the 3-series would only give me the symbol of BMW. I don't like the looks of the 325i much.

Alright, it's a handsome car, but did you really have to vote 5 times??? Without your votes, it would be (surprisingly) tied for next-to-last (in our very scientific, statistically significant survey )

I gotta say I am a bit surprised the AV6 numbers arent higher given the audience on this board. I'm sure this little poll has little real significance...but if it is any indication..its shown that Acura/Honda has done a decent job not to cannibalize its own sales.

To really test this out we would have had to include the RSX and (don't laugh) the Civic in this poll. But that would be a different kind of poll.

One way to find out, my doubting friends....go see if those accounts are registed here at atsx.
Create 5 separate accounts just for vote for the 9-3? Hey I love my car and all, but no thanks - I'd rather be reading some rediculous thread like "TSX places last on Automobile rankings".
Cheers!
