TSX Buy in NC...
Seems like there needs to be a "Dealer's Deals" forum for the amount of times this seems to come up...in the meantime I am going to jump on the bandwagon. Received an offer from Apple Tree Acura in Fletcher, NC:
For the '05 Artic Blue TSX with Navi
MSRP $29560
Discount 1900
Selling Price $27660
3% Tax 829.80
Title Fee 174.95
Tag 46.00
Out the Door $28710.75
Seem like a decent deal given the averages I have seen on this site...granted this is only the initial offer (have not haggled yet). Anyone had a better offer at a different dealership?

Forgot to mention that this guy is not charging me for the BS "processing fee" and he is not charging anything for bringing it to the dealership from another dealer

Mad Dog,
I live near Apple Tree and have delt with those people before. There are a couple of salemen that are good (I can get you their names), but overall that place blows.
I went by their right after the TSX came out and wanted to drive a 6-spd to see if I liked it. To make a long story short, all they had were automatics, they wouldn't even let me drive one of those before more or less agreeing to buy one, and to make matters worse, their salesman persisted to call me every week for like a month to see if I was ready to buy. I told him not to bother me until they had a manual I could drive, but he wouldn't give up.
Also, a lot of people around here that I know have been ripped-off by their service department. They have a bad rep, or least did.
If I may, I would highly recommend going down to Bradshaw Acura in Greenville, SC and talking to Wayne Wilson. When I went down their he was extreemly helpful and more than willing to let me take a long test drive. He will take of you, and I'm sure by the size of their inventory (way bigger that appletree) that he could give you a good deal on exactly what you want.
Hope this helps.

Slats....thanks for all the great knowledge and experience info in regards to Apple. I am currently negotiating with Don Haehnel over there. I couldn't agree more with their reluctancy not to give up...I told them to e-mail me and not use my company phone number and I would call them in the evening, but the geniuses have called me every day at work! Fortunately Apple is only one of the dealerships in NC that I am working with. I will take a look at Greenville, SC. Thanks again!

Living in NC and getting a car in SC, how did they handle your TT & L when you got your car Slats? Don't want to have everything registered in SC and then have to transfer it to NC.

Yeah....I have been looking at Hendrick too. The great part about possibly doing business with them is that I have a cousin who works for Hendrick Corporate here in Charlotte and I was told that I can probably swing the "Friends and Family" discount there...putting me at invoice to start with I think. Thanks for the post fiera.

Hey,
I actually don't have a TSX yet -- just a big fan like you for now. I'm graduating college in May so I'm thinking of getting it then when money isn't so tight. Not sure though. But, yeah you could try Hendrick too -- they seem pretty good. Basically anyplace would be better than the Apple IMHO.
