Tsx Bumper

hey guys sorry im new to this forum but i was
wondering what would you do if
your friends played a prank on you and they
keyed your car and they put elmers
glue that won't come off but little by little
its coming off but its getting harder and harder.

What would you do in this position and how much would a TSX bumper cost
cause my parents i think their gonna make the person pay for the whole
bumper so yeah. and any suggestions bout the glue? = (

I cant imagine that regular white glue wouldn't just peel off. If they used construction adhesive, all bets are off. Typically, a bumper cover costs about 200-300 plus paint and labor. I'd get estimates from a few body shops and expect 4-500 installed.

Your parents are going to make the person pay!? I think YOU should make the person pay!!! Why should you care about the cost? That person should just pay up period!

I hope that your friends will now be your ex-friends and grow up fast. Are they your age too? If so, it is so sad that they can be so immature.

Regular Elmer's glue should come off with just water or goo gone (or whatever it's called). Something that easy to remove, with no scarring, could easily be seen as a prank. KEYING your car is a separate case altogether. Those aren't friends playing a prank; those are chodes vandalizing your car.

Personally, I'd treat them all to a Cleveland Steamer AND make them pay for the damages.

BTW, if their response is something like "Your parents can afford to fix it," they suck. Get rid of them.

seriously, those are some fucked up friends. What I would do is go get sweet revenge but then again, you really don't want to steep to their level. Although, I would do it anyways.

Thumbs down

MODS are gonna move this thread probably cause its not 2nd Gen TSX topic.

FYI, they are NOT your friends.

You are apparently 27 years old and a grown adult. You should be able to handle your problems especially if you are around a group of individuals that cross the line and damage your personal property.

Posting this question in the Wash and Wax Forum will get you good answers on how to remove this.

Nice 'friends.'

if they are your so-called friends I would hate to find out what your enemies would do. You should be the one that make these "friends" fix it not your parents. If they are your true friends they would be making things right without you asking.

Yes there is no way you are 27, and if you are I wish you luck in life.

First I would call the cops on your "friends" and report them for vandalizing your car. That is not a prank, it is a crime.

Second like somebody else suggested go to the car & wax forum. I was told that wd-40 is good to take out glue residue, but i am not sure if that applies to elmer's glue. If it winds up working, make sure to protect the area where you used the wd-40.

Oh and by the way there is a thing in life called personal responsibility. You are responsible for the people you hang out with, and if you chose to hang out with them, then you better think about taking them to court or talking to their parents (i hope you are 17) about making them pay for a new bumper.

I am pretty sure you're parents gave you that car because they thought you were a responsible person
